Looking for a new type of fantasy? Does magic bore you. Do monsters not thrill you anymore. Do stock characters leave you uninterested?

May I suggest a walk on the Greek Side.

This is not your hero in a bronze jockstrap beating the crude out of monsters. This is about people who are faced with danger, crises, moral dilemmas, and political hostility. Just like life was for me in the 60s. A new mage returns home after ten years away. He is bright, eager, and ready to take up the position of caretaker. His dominion is The Forest of Allund, a placed fill with creatures not found in your normal Greek Myth. His job is to protect them. He makes friends with them and some humans. He is subjected to invasion, war, massive damage, and politics. Our hero finds all the arts of magic, philosophy, morality, ethics, and behavior taught to him over the years mean nothing when someone has you at the point of a sword. Then you options become fight, run, or die.
