A concern about editing an old book.

I want to add an alternative edition for a book since the only one is missing a lot of information and without a cover. So my question is, this book (a letter actually) was written in approximately 815 B.C while my edition was published in 1999... as I know I should add the first one (correct me if I'm wrong). But my concern is that the actual letter is about 14 pages, on the other hand, my edition with the explanations, etc, is 480 pages, so what should I add in this case?

If you would, please link to the books you're talking about. You probably mean adding a new edition rather than alternate cover edition. Also please link to where the one you want to add is (Amazon or elsewhere).
