Fiction- Woman photographer doing a story for a magazine on an island off the Eastern Coast of US maybe Mass.
Her husband and 4-5 year old daughter are on board a boat with his brother and girlfriend for the photo shoot.
She is covering the history of the island where a murder took place in the early 1900s.
Husband is a poet- brother's girlfriend has a big crush on him.
The historic murder is the main focus of the book.
Island is very difficult to live on because of winds all the time.
People who came to live there are fishermen and their wives
who are immigrants.
