The Ultimate Challenge
I may give this a shot. My goal will be to see how many I can check off this year. I know it is unlikely that I will read them all, but no harm to see how far I get. Thanks for the share.
I think I'm going to read Lev Grossman's The Magicians trilogy. That's not the hardest one for me. It's funny to see what different people think is going to be the hard one.
None of the challenges sound too terribly hard. Though, I wonder about a book based entirely on its cover. It's been a long time since I read a book based just on its cover.
Though last year I read The Strange Case of the Mad Professor: A True Tale of Endangered Species, Illegal Drugs, and Attempted Murder based solely on the title.
I'll check it out. That's why I love doing these challenges...I get to discover some great books that I probably would not have considered if it wasn't for trying to meet a challenge.
I agree. It's a really fun way to go through books you haven't read yet. I am going to have to get a copy of Doctor Zhivago as that's the book my mom said she loved!

oh... so true....
I'm a little confused if I should put this book
as an orange or a yellow cover. Can anyone give me their opinion, please?
I'm in. Two down.[X] A nonfiction book - All Joy and No Fun, Jennifer Senior
[x] A Pulitzer Prize winning book -Across the Wide Missouri, Bernard DeVoto

I would put that as Orange

I've just joined as well because it's hard to say no to a fun-looking challenge! I think the hardest one will be "A book you started but never finished." There's a reason I didn't finish it!

I think the only rule here is that it's your challenge, so you set your own criteria :)
I'm not doing the challenge myself (tempted but I have enough challenges going on) so I can't give you examples of what I'd use. Hopefully someone who is doing the challenge may come along.

The list is very open to interpretation. When it comes to classic romance I interpreted it as romances/love stories from classic literature but your interpretation may be different.
Wendy wrote: "What criteria are we using for "Classic Romance"?"I'm using Phantom of The Opera for Classic Romance. It was written a long time ago and it's a love story. That was my criteria.

Good choice. I think I might have this audiobook.

If anyone needs help with "a book with bad reviews", HuffPo has this article: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2015/01...

It's new for 2015 but you can take part whenever.

Every challenge is individual to each person. I'm going to try and finish this year. But maybe the point is to do the whole thing, thus diversifying your reading.
For the one with "A book with 500 pages" that just means a book with 500 or more pages right or does it mean exactly 500 pages?

I know right hahahaha I was just wondering because some challenges want it to be in the 500 area but not go over it.
