Challenges: Year Long Main 2021

2015 - I've Killed a Level, Badge me!
Took me 5 months, but level 3 is DONE! If I could please have a badge Janice when you are next badging, that would be wonderful. No rush. I mean, I've been waiting 5 months already so more time doesn't matter at all!
Sounds very humble, but I finally finished level 3. It was a very long one. I'm still planning to finish the 5 levels :)And congratulations to all you amazing overachievers !
Rusalka and Teanka, you have both been badged. You made it easy on me in that it was the same badge. :)
Haha, I haven't noticed :) Congrats Rusalka! it took me 4 months, so about the same as you, and I think it would have taken more but I realised that the year is ending and I need to hurry if I want to finish the challenge at all.
Bella wrote: "Finished Levels 8 and 9- both with just one book."Hehehe, I wrote that and then considered whether it was even possible to read the same book to finish two levels. But then, anything is possible in YLTO.
And then I read your reporting thread. Maybe I shouldn't be working today.
Levels 36 and 37! Still trying to kill off the series I've been stalking, I mean reading, for this challenge. https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...
AmyK wrote: "I finished level 2 Janice!!!! Can i have another badge please? pretty pretty pleeeeeeeeass?"With a cherry on top? LOL!
You've been badged.
Sorry, I have had my head down in the books trying to kill off my Level 19.Lindy-Land: Level 6 is down and onto Level 7. Sweet!
Lori Z: Welcome to the Teen Serial Killers Club!
Rusalka and Teanka: Nice work both of you! Congratulations on your Level 3 finishs.
Bella: Blasting away with back to back kills and two levels down! Awsome.
Hey Amy! Good to see you still with us. Congratulations on your Level 2 Finish!
Susan: Shotgun work. A level with each barrel!
Ah, Amanda. Reporting in Roman Numerals - well done! :0)
Finished Level 11, not with Bradbury, but with a Southern Witch!https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...
I finally did it! I completed Level 4 and have been dragged through the U.S. Civil War Give me badge, please!
I finished level 5. Please may I have a badge? This will be my final level and my final badge of this challenge. Thanks for a great challenge Janice. I have started more series than I finished though unfortunately.
Congratulations, Sarah and welcome to the Level 5 Serial Killer Club!Started more than you killed? I think that is the over-riding theme for all of us doing the challenge. It will be fun to see the final statistics after December 31st.
Way to go, Suzanne and Sarah. I'm with you, Sarah, I'll have started more series then I will have finished. I was looking at my original list the other day, and I'd say the majority of what I listed is not what I'd killed.
Lindy-Lane wrote: "eagerly awaiting my level 6 badge (post #1654, page #34 of this thread)."There are no badges past level 5, Lindy-Lane. Sorry, but there may be other badges awarded at the year end wrap up.
Finishing this Challenge with Level 6!!! It's been FUN!! Thanks so much Janice for all the pretty badges!!!
Level 39 takes me to the world of Fool's Gold by Susan Mallery. Fun, frivolous and formula reading but an easy kill.https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...
I'm still scrambling to finish up another series or two by the end of the month.
Lynda wrote: "A "doorstop"?"Oh, you weren't here last year for our yearly challenge. A doorstop is a book over 500 pages. (Also known as a chunkster.)
You know one of those big, blocky, heavy things that you put in front of a door that will not stay open (or closed for that matter)?
I was at a book sale once and saw A Suitable Boy. It was 5" wide by 7" tall by 8" thick.
Cherie wrote: "Grrrr, I have to read a doorstop for my next series kill. I have been putting it off ALL YEAR!"Thanks, Cherie! And good luck with your chunkster. I've been putting off the final book of the Outlander series all year because it's so long.
I killed Level Five! I think it's safe to say I won't catch up with Susan this year - haha! Way to go Susan!! I'm incredibly impressed :)
I have been postponing the Outlander books too, Susan. The next one for me is #5 at over 1400 pages. I have it in audio. Next year, Jamie and Claire!!!!Better stop complaining and bite the bullet. I need it to kill off a trilogy and a level. But... (No cracks from you, Almeta! - Hope you are feeling better.)
Rebecca has gone viral and has entered the "Over 60s Serial Killer Club". Is she going to quit when she reaches mandatory retirement age before the end of the year? hehehe

I didn't plan this, but realized I've read 8 books for each level. I can't decide if I'm going to force level 5 to match or if I'm just going to finish up one of the bigger series - which I'm gaining ground on and could do. ...decisions, decisions....
