It seems that as I read each "next in the series", the books get better. Of course that may have something to do with my familiarity with continuing characters and James Langton.

And since I cannot stay away from crime for long, I've brought home a couple of suspects from the charity store I gave books to, among them Sharp Objects and Bring Up the Bodies.

The stories do get better, but just mostly becuse you get to care for the characters. Just don't read his other book. It was terrible! well - maybe not that bad, but compared to the Lenox series - not so good.

How is the Charley Davidson series going? I read the first three books I think, but then I was waiting on the next one to come out and I never picked it back up. I remember I really liked Charley, she was a very funny girl.

I just finished Eighth Grave After Dark and loved it. I love Charley! She's great! Great cliffhanger at the end, now to wait for the next one.

@Susan, I think I may pick the Charley Davidson books back up. I really enjoyed the ones I read. I'll have to reread them since its been so long and I don't remember all of the details, but that is okay. I remember quite a few laugh out loud moments and I could use that right now.

@KimeyDiann Plenty of laugh out loud moments in there. I particularly appreciate the little t-shirt sayings and slogans that start each chapter, but then sometimes I'm easily amused. Enjoy and I hope the laughter helps with whatever you've got going on.

Ha! I just finished Eighth Grave After Dark also. Funny, sexy, suspenseful. Looks like we are headed in a different plot direction now. Can hardly wait for the 2016 release. ☺
