Janice wrote: "Your badge is on your wall. That was a quick level for you with the last book in a 22 book series."Thank you, yes I was a bit more strategic the second time around so I should have a few levels completed pretty quickly soon.

Wanda, that's a series I've been looking at starting. How did you like it?
I've just finished Level 5, so may I have another badge, please? Is it wrong to finish Marcel Proust's literary masterpiece, In Search of Lost Time, and then pair it with a Scottish Highlands romance trilogy?
Wow, I bow down to you, Theresa, for completing the Proust 7 book series. I haven't even begun tho I still have hopes of at least starting it this year. I gather you must have liked it?
Tejas Janet wrote: "Wow, I bow down to you, Theresa, for completing the Proust 7 book series. I haven't even begun tho I still have hopes of at least starting it this year. Wanda, that's a ..."
If you like history then it is a wonderful series. Steve Berry thoroughly researched the history in his novels and does a wonderful job. I majored in History and taught it for 35 years and the books are 90% factual and 10% imagination but it all works. They are definitely thrillers with a twist
Did you see my note that I just completed Level 4? I do not see a new badge on my wall. https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...
It is listed under message 5
I killed The Millennium Trilogy and completed level four. I'm concerned though on how you can have a trilogy and then come out with another book. It looks like they are planning to add The Girl in the Spiders Web. Bah!
Ummm, Janice, I think you missed my message too. Message #952.It's for completing level 4 https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...
Thanks!
I'm not sure how the badges work but have racked up 440 points so far this year - details in the reporting thread. Am working my way through Michael Jecks at present - that might take a while to get through. And once the new book comes out I may be at the end of Sue Grafton's alphabet of murder - hopefully she'll get the last 2 written but she is 75!
Finished level 6 during the weekend :) This one took me a looooong time to finish since I seem not to feel like reading series these days, or weeks LOLYou can visit my page here https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...

I'm so sorry, Lori! ACK! I must have zoned out or something. Your badge is on your wall.
Did I miss anyone else?
Deborah wrote: "I'm not sure how the badges work but have racked up 440 points so far this year - details in the reporting thread. You can't go back and score books that were read previously. You may count them towards the completion of a series but without the 5 pts per book. So if you've read 5 out of 6 books in a series before starting the challenge, you don't get 25 points. When you read the 6th book and complete the series, you'll get 60 points for the series and 5 points for the book, a total of 65 points.
I hope you don't find that discouraging, but each time someone starts a level, they start from zero points regardless of what they've read before. You're just starting level one, so you start with zero points. When you start level two, your points reset to zero. You won't get to carry points over to the previous level.
I have completed Level 5 with killing The Anna Pigeon Series by Nevada Barr. Please badge mehttps://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...

No problem, Janice! Love the badge!
Thanks!

Welcome to the Level 5 Serial Killer Club, Wanda!
Keep on killing them!

And the hunt goes on!! Congrats, Marie!
I finally finished Level 4 (14 books later!) starting level 5 with a recommendation from my 7 yr old :-)
Amanda wrote: "I finally finished Level 4 (14 books later!) starting level 5 with a recommendation from my 7 yr old :-)"What did your 7 yr old suggest?
Reporting Level 9 is a gonner and 3 books left to kill off Level 10. What a pain to find out that two more books had been released or I would be on the last one today.
@ Amanda - Congratulations on your Level 4 kill!
Yes, I want to know what your 7 year old suggested too. o_^
The first book in The 39 Clues: Cahill Files. It was pretty good, spies and mystery. He has read 3 in the last week, he's on a bit of a novel kick at the moment!

Wanda, how did you like Patriot Threat. I started listening to it a few weeks ago but put it away. I will try to re-start it again after I am finished with the series I am working through.
I have liked almost all the other books in the series so far.
All of you serial killers are making me feel like a slacker! LOL. I had hoped to have killed off 5 levels by now, but I just haven't been reading as many series as I thought I would. I'm getting closer to finishing level three, but it'll still be a while I think. Normally when I start a series I read the entire thing back-to-back, I just haven't felt the need to do that on most of the series I've been reading this year, plus I've read a lot of stand alones. Oh well... I'm having fun in this group regardless of what I'm reading! :)
I can relate, KimeyDiann. I thought I'd be done with level three by now!Oh well. I'm just not that big of a reader of serials. Like some of them pretty well. But don't want to read a whole bunch of them usually in one year. I like to spread them out over time : )
Kimey and Janet, Just remember that this is a year long challenge and you have actually full-filled all of the requirements to be done with it, if you want to be. After you have completed a level, it is up to you how far you want to go, just like the challenge last year. Some of us just read more series than others. There are no serial slackers, only serial killers. Enjoy your reading, whatever you want to read!
Amanda B - I cannot find a post, but I see on your challenge that you have completed Level 3. I see that Janice has given you a Slick Badge for Level 4, but I do not see the Turtles for Level 3 on your wall of fame. Janice - I just wanted the two of you to know.
(The other two Amandas have the correct badges on their walls, just to save you looking. :0))
@TJ, I love reading series most of the time, I just haven't had a lot of them that I have wanted to plow through this year like I normally do. @Cherie, Thanks... I know, but it was more of a personal goal than anything. I think I will change my goal to finish five levels this year.
There are several series I still really want to get to. Especially Gilead trilogy, Wool Omnibus, and iq84. I've got to stop messing about and get to them tho if I'm going to do it this year. Have to at least start these!
Cherie wrote: "Amanda B - I cannot find a post, but I see on your challenge that you have completed Level 3. I see that Janice has given you a Slick Badge for Level 4, but I do not see the Turtles for Level 3 on..."Thanks for catching this, Cherie!
Amanda, your turtles are on your wall.
