THE HOST WILL BE A MOVIE!!
OMG Im sooo exited!!! I jump when I read about it on stephenie meyer's website!!! Im kind of worry about the cast and all because I want it to be exactly like in my head but you know, Im still happy!! YAY :)
hm...idk if i'll watch it because when i read a book i get an image of the characters and i dont want the movie to ruin that... the movie twilight did that for me. D:
yes i can't wait! i wonder how they're going to explain the confusing plot, it will be interesting. when is it suppose to come out?

I hope they take some people who aren't famous. I love Ian Somerhalder as Damon but if he would play Ian I would always think Omg it's Damon xD

Hmm... Okay, so I'm really excited and nervous all at the same time about this book becoming a movie. I want all of the characters to be perfect. So, here are my picks..Melanie/Wanda: Missy Peregrym (She's a bit older than Mel, but she's super close to how I pictured her.)
Pet/Wanda: I think that either Anna-Sophia Robb, Sammi Hanratty, or Taylor Momsen would be awesome as Wanda. They're all fairly close to Pet's age, and look like she was described in the book.
Jared: I know that they're kind of old, but then Jared was supposed to be older than Melanie, so I like Stephenie Meyer's choice of Matt Damon (he's amazing) and then I also thought Chris Pine would be good.
Ian: Ian, to me, has got to be PERFECT. I thought that Ben Hollingsworth, Matt Lanter, Brant Daugherty, or maybe even Chris Pine would fit the part.
So, yup, these are my picks. And I hope that when the movie is finally done, that they will have done a good job picking actors to match the characters.

In total since I read The Host for the first time I had 2 The Host dreams and in both Ian was there!! :D
I also had 'Host' dreams!!With Ian obviously!

I'm so excited to be working with Nick Weschler, and Steve and Paula Mae Schwartz to bring The Host to a visual format. They've all been a dream to work with, so lovely and collaborative, and I feel like we're in a really good place to make a great movie together. And then to have Andrew Niccol writing and directing? Truly awesome. If you've never seen Gattaca, go watch it now. One of my favorite movies of all time. It's such a great example of character driven science fiction, which is ideal for The Host, no? I'm having an absolute blast imagining different dream casts, which I would post if people didn't take my silly blogs so seriously these days. I'm looking forward to seeing the cast lists you come up with in the fansite forums, and if any of them match mine.
So, very exciting. Yay Host!
