Watcha Doing? Version 2015
Travis of NNY wrote: "The easter eggers are Americanas, Rusalka. Forgot about that"Ooo they are pretty. I hope you get some speckled ones. But the red and golden girls are pretty too. I have to giggle at bearded chooks. They look like they have fluffy scarfs on.
I think bees are less common here too. I remember when I was younger and you were sitting outside with a soft drink or ice cream, there would always be bees buzzing around you. Now, much less. I have a question! Is there a saying in English for when you have lots of contradicting information so that you can't draw conclusions from it? I know a saying in Dutch, but it wouldn't make sense if I translated it literally to English ;-)
I would simply call it a clusterfuck Peggy. Perhaps a more refined member could give you a more appropriate response
Got an email. Spam. From goodrrads saying because you enjoyed this why not try these 2 free audiobooks. Cool but how is goodreads going to do it so I clicked From goodreads team join audible and get 2 free books. We recommend these 2. #1 I am audible member. #2 the 2 books you recommended me are also on my read shelf. #3 just don't spam me I can see the audible ad on the screen clear as day all the time
Travis of NNY wrote: "I would simply call it a clusterfuck Peggy. Perhaps a more refined member could give you a more appropriate response"This is exactly what I thought too.
Peggy wrote: "Lol Travis, it's for my dissertation so I think I'm going to wait for something a bit different ;-)"I don't know. You've now been validated over 3 continents. I'm happy to be cited.
"Rusalka says: I'd define that as a "clusterfuck"."
I've seen worse.
Can I just also say, if you are this way inclined, http://www.the90sbutton.com/ is awesome. Particularly at... 1am
Would inconclusive work Peggy? It doesn't sum up the contradictory info I know. I like Travis and Rusalka's word contribution but I wouldn't use that in your dissertation. My predictive text just brought up that I lick Travis and Rusalka. PMSL. I corrected it but then thought I'd share it to give you all a laugh too.
That's hilarious and I can confer Sarah does not or has not ever licked me. I can't speak for Rusalka
Haha Sarah!I never heard of clusterfuck but I'm going to try and use it in conversation :D Inconclusive describes it well, but I would like to sum it up in an appropriate expression if there is one.
Peggy wrote: "I have a question! Is there a saying in English for when you have lots of contradicting information so that you can't draw conclusions from it? Allow me to break out my thesaurus for you: ambiguous, indefinite, abstruse, puzzling, hazy, unclear, perplexing, recondite, paradoxical. Those are just a few. I think perplexing would the best one. And yes, I had to look up definitions for abstruse and recondite because I wasn't sure of their exact definition. lol.
We leave in the morning for our Disney World/Universal Studios trip! I've been so stressed trying to make sure I have everything. And making sure that everything at home and work is taken care of. I'm way more stressed than I normally get before a vacation... I'm not sure why. We have a rental car so if we forget anything it isn't a big deal, we can drive to the store. And my work will not fall apart without me here. They probably won't even miss me. lol. But I have been trying to get everything I would normally be doing next week done this week, so that has been stressful. I have to finish packing up the small necessity items tonight and in the morning and I'm done. I think I will feel better when we get on the road and I can turn my brain to relax and enjoy mode! Unfortunately the group we are taking this trip with all want to leave at an ungodly hour in the morning and all of us follow each other to the airport (which is about 4 hours away). There are 21 people going, so at least 5 cars trying to stay together on the interstate. Ugh. My husband has a lead foot so I can't imagine that working. Maybe I can relax when we get to the airport! LOL.
Hope you have a great trip, KimeyDiann!! We can't wait to hear all about it :-) sending good thoughts for a safe and relaxing vacation! And extra good thoughts for your pups while you're away!!
Wow thanks KimeyDiann! I'm going to change some words in my thesis. I didn't think of paradoxical before, I like it! For this particular part though I was more looking for a saying or a proverb or something. Have a great holiday!
Peggy wrote: "Haha Sarah!I never heard of clusterfuck but I'm going to try and use it in conversation :D Inconclusive describes it well, but I would like to sum it up in an appropriate expression if there is one."
Peggy, note tho that clusterfuck isn't inconclusive. It's mistake piled on mistake and so on until the final outcome is a great big, total f--k up!!
Stephanie, I know just what you mean - sometimes it's a lot of work to get ready for going on holiday!! Have a wonderful, relaxing time : )
My parents had the opposite problem with bees a couple years ago. A colony of bees built a hive inside their walls and they literally had honey seeping through the bricks. They ended up having to have a professional beekeeper come and safely remove the bees. Now my uncle and mom are fascinated by bees and are starting to keep them (far from the house though). I have heard where they are noticing a large decline in bee populations due to the pesticides and farming practices, though.

I've been having a great time LMAO! You guys are funny. Have fun, KimeyDiann!! Good lucj getting there tomorrow. :)
Peggy I'm going to text my dad and ask him that question, if anybody knows a quote, it will be him :-)
Kimmy Diane, have a lot of fun!!! I'd be sure to ask about grad nights, a lot of that going on here at Disneyland, I just think you would like to avoid a bunch of newly freed teens at Disney :-) my son is going on June 3, and actually my daughter is going to Disney tonight it is 24 hour Disney, so the park is open for 24 hours.
KimeyDiann, Have a wonderful trip to Disney and Universal Studios. I was trying to send Stephanie with you : ) oops, sorry. I was thinking that maybe you're feeling more stressed because of your husband maybe being more stressed about his mother. Anyway, hope it's a relaxing and fun trip!!
Good morning everyone! I slept 7 hours in a row for the first time after like 2 years! I feel renewed! I admit I'd sleep a few hours more, :) but so far I feel like it's Christmas!

That is awesome! I'm glad to hear that you slept well! :)
I just woke up myself. I'm getting ready to head off to work for the day. Thankfully, it's going to be super slow since it's a holiday weekend here in the States so that means lots of reading time :)

Sandra! That is fantastic! I have sleeping problems myself and I know what a gift it is when you sleep, a good nights sleep, finally!
We get up early all the week, but this is not the problem. During the night I wake up many times for different reasons (nightmares, bathroom trips, fever, etc) and that's the difficult part. I'm not complaining. It's perfectly fine with me. Someone has to do it, and I'll be always there to comfort them when necessary. I generally manage to go through the day as if I had slept. But today that I slept 7 hours in a row... wow! I fell like I'm under amphetamines. :) I've done so much work in the house and in the garden!
Rusalka wrote: "I lost touch with what happened, but I remember the European Parliament banned a pesticide that was known for killing bees...And then Monsanto tried to sue them."
Re: Monsanto - had to share this cartoon
Sandra, I know exactly what you mean. With kids, I remember the first time sleeping more than a few hours in a row/night. It was heavenly!! Glad you enjoyed your day. :)
You realise that you're overly attached to the internet on days like this. Eurovision was early this morning Australian time. It's shown on TV at 8pm tonight. I can't look at Facebook (the trends spoil it even if my friends don't), Twitter, or even our national news site (they spoiled it for me last year). It's even worse this year as we were competing (don't ask me why), so it was shown here live as well so we could vote.I'm planning on food, drinks and being snarky on the net tonight about the whole thing. Australians get really into Eurovision as we laugh at everyone. It's such a ridiculous spectacle. We have two commentators we send who just sit there all night being sarcastic. Very fun. Just no internet for me all day.
AND NO SPOILERS HERE TOO PLEASE! YOU'RE ALL I HAVE LEFT!
