KimeyDiann, have fun when you go! We are actually going back in September to spend a few more days for my daughter. She discovered Epcot too late in our trip and so we are going back. Did you get all set up with fast passes? We usually don't plan ahead but will be trying to get a few of these set up for our next trip. Definitely worth it! Some of those lines are long!!
Thanks guys. It is the unpkeasant part of owning pets but I'm just thankful evwry time all I have to do is drop off at vets. Have been a couple times when I had to do it myself rather than make the dog suffer for an extra 2-3 hours by the time you call the vet and drive down there. Doing it yourself and burying and all that really sucks. So much easier to just drop at vets and hit the road. Cows on the other hand really don't bother me at all. Theres 3 methods deemed humane to do it anf I opt for .22 and I know the right way so its over fast for the animal. My wife wanted me to have vet euthanise a calf that was kind of a pet once. I had to hold the calf and it takes like 3 minutes for the injection to work. May be painless for the calf but I still remember holding that calf and feeling the heart beat slower and slower then stop. That was way too personal and took 2 minutes 55 seconds longer than if I do it my way. But I don't do pets unless its an emergency
Sorry to hear about your dog, Travis. Must be hard if he has never been sick go have to go like that. :0(
I am still sick and have not been reading at all. I have re-listened to Dust and Shadow: An Account of the Ripper Killings by Dr. John H. Watson because I know the story so well that I can use it for a sleep aid and Simon Vance's voice is the one I want to listen to. Going to work last Friday almost killed me off, and Ikea with my daughters on Saturday afternoon put me right back in bed for the rest of the weekend. I got up at noon and worked on-line and worked until about 4:00pm when our internal internet service went down. I was not sure if it was my cable or not, so I drove over to Amy's to check it out. Still not working.
My cable access to my Laptop is okay, but the VPN service inside the Intel firewall is not working. Not sure what will happen in the morning. So much for working from home for 7 weeks. sigh.
I feel a little better tonight. Amy is kicking me out, so I have to shut down. Good night.
Sorry to hear about your dog Travis. This is one aspect of pet owning I have not had to deal with. Except goldfish when I was a kid but it's not the same.I have another week of cycling ahead of me and I'm already knackered. What I need right now is someone to take me to work and back... one can dream.

Keep taking good care of yourself and rest up.

Our goldfish is 19 years old (and still going strong) so we will really miss him when he goes as we have grown pretty attached to him over the years. He is quite a character too in his own little way :)
Wow that's amazing Lisa. One of the goldfish I got when I was 9 lived a long time too - 16 years from what I recall. He was called Jaws! I never realised they lived so long (and nor did my parents who continued to look after it after I left home).

You do occasionally read stories in the newspapers where they have lived past the age of 20 but their average lifespan is a few years at best. Our little fish used to be bright orange in colour but he is so old now that he has turned completely white and has been that way for years.
Thanks.Wow I never thought of how old fish could get. Those are some impressive numbers. Not sure I met anyone who kept their fish alive that long
Hope oyu feel better soon, Cherie. Not sure what you have but I was well all winter long and then a week before my trip to disney I got a terrible head thing/sinus infection. Needless to say I panicked. Flying with a sinus infection scared the hell out of me. I was told to drink giner tea made with grated ginger, honey, water and lemon. It really, really helped. Not sure if that's what you have but you might want to try it anyway. We have a goldfish that's been around for about 6 years now. My son won him at a carnival and he's still going strong! I wish you could keep them in schools but from what I understand, they need a lot of room so one fish it is. We also have 2 hermit crabs still going strong from about 8 years ago, both from boardwalk purchases!

Luckily you don't smell it, you swallow it quickly.
So sorry to hear about your puppy Travis. We've had two dogs have two different types of cancer. One was really sudden, but not quite that sudden, so I understand the shock. What an awesome life out there with you chasing the cows though!

Certainly not any fish that found it's way to my aquarium. It was a death sentence for them I'm afraid.
@Travis, I'm so sorry to hear about your dog. I've only ever had to have one pet put down in my life and it was so depressing.@Sandra, how many languages do you know?
@Tasha, we do have fast passes set up. I don't like having to plan our trip to that level of detail, but I also don't want to spend more time in lines than I have to.
What did y'all enjoy so much about Epcot? I was planning on skipping it this trip because I didn't remember it being all that great when we went before. The only ride that I loved at Epcot was Soarin'. I'd sort of like to go and explore the different countries there, but I really want to ride lots of rides! LOL.
@Cherie, I hope you fee better soon!
@KimeyDiann, I speak Spanish, Portuguese and English. I hope to be speaking Italian in a year. :)@Cherie, we are having a hard time here too with some kind of spring flu. It's taking ages to go away. When it seems we all are feeling better, we wake up unwell again. The weather is not helping.
sorry about your dog Travis. I have had my share in the last years and even when you know it's the only option, it does not make it easier.

That is amazing, Sandra. I would love to learn another language, but I just don't have the self-discipline required to do it on my on.
Thanks again for all the well wishes! I THINK IT IS HELPING, I do feel much better today. I slept well last nignt and have had hardly any cough. I guess I had the flu. I don't get sick very often, but this hit me like a ton of bricks. I still have a slight rattle in my chest and no voice to speak of, but am up out of bed now. If my Laptop were not giving me problems, I could be completely happy at the moment. The IT folks over the phone at home are even more frustrating than they are at work. I am waiting for them to call me back....
Almost all the cleaning is done at the old apartment :) I have a little to clean up tomorrow then the carpets get cleaned Friday :) we can't get one of our big items till the weekend so it will have to go in the kitchen till then :) so nice to almost be done with that place :) I have to say that the Maintenence staff at our new place is 100 times better than the old place :)
Glad to hear you are starting to feel better Cherie.I'm exhausted. I've cycled 3 days in a row so far, first 2 were 4.5 miles then yesterday 6 and I still have a 6 today and tomorrow to do. I can hardly move now. and among all that cycling I went swimming, sawed and chopped wood, and ripped the bathroom floor up. I was naughty yesterday and cycled without having breakfast and I felt awful so I learnt a lesson there. it's been raining this morning so I might have a soggy afternoon ahead of me.
My muscles sore only reading, Sarah. But it's great to do so much exercise. You'll get used to the rides in a couple of weeks.

You are doing great with your cycling Sarah! Do you have a bath on your boat or just a shower? If you have one, maybe try having a soak with some Epsom salts or a muscle relief bubble bath. That may help to soothe your aches a bit :)
We had a shower Lisa until I ripped it out with the floor at the weekend. We only have a sink now which I definitely won't be able to fit in. thinking I might treat myself to a day at the spa at the weekend. or I just deal with it.
You've convinced me Lisa. Gonna book in to go to Bath Thermae Spa on Friday. I can't wait. Just one more day of cycling to go.
Sarah wrote: "You've convinced me Lisa. Gonna book in to go to Bath Thermae Spa on Friday. I can't wait. Just one more day of cycling to go."I hope you enjoy it! I'm sure you will, spa days are pure bliss!
Sarah wrote: "You've convinced me Lisa. Gonna book in to go to Bath Thermae Spa on Friday. I can't wait. Just one more day of cycling to go."You can do it Sarah! Hang in there!
Thanks guys. I am seriously contemplating moving my boat closer to the train station so I have less of a cycle. But I've never driven the boat when I'm on my own so I have a dilemma - cycle 6 miles and leave boat where it is or do I attempt to move it closer by myself so I can save my little legs this afternoon (but perhaps not my nerves). Also just realised that to get to the spa, I would also need to cycle 6 miles so I think I had better wait until my partner isn't working so I can have the car to do that one.
Pragya wrote: "Are you any better yet, Cherie?Stephanie, all done with moving?"
Almost :) we have a few things to pick up tonight then one large item on Saturday :) we have to rent a truck for it as it won't fit in the back of the Honda:(
I'm going over to do another round of vacuuming today. The carpets get cleaned tomorrow :) then all the cleaning will be done! YAY!! We turn the keys in on Sunday then the move out inspection is Monday! I will be so happy to be finally done with that place :)
Gutted. My partner parked his car at work today next to a metal container as normal. When the door to the container error was being opened, the Wind busted and blew the door out of the guys hand and it banged in to our car leaving a huge gouge down the side. Could coil property so assumed insurance job but looks like they'll write it off and we'll only get £200. If we went through our car I insurance we'd be worse off as it would affect no claims. My partner is fuming. Not sure what's best to do. It's still drivable once the workshop staff fill the gouge to make it road worthy. Not what we need to start the bank holiday weekend off with.
Thanks Janice. Predictive text is so annoying. The wind gusted not busted and the container was council property.
Oh that sucks. How bad is the gouge that it's not roadworthy anymore?!We got my first car as Lexx backed into it in a carpark. They wanted it fixed quickly as they wanted to sell it, I needed a car so I bought it off them with Lexx paying what he owed for the repairs and me the rest.
The damage was across 3 of the 4 panels of the side. The mechanics that worked out the back of our workplace at the time, just said it was not worth repairing, so I drove it like that for 7 years. All fine except I had people letting me know about once a week that someone had hit my car. I just owned it, and knew there wasn't much worse I could do to that side of the car.
As much as it's not pretty, hopefully you could get a work around like that? But I think the metal guys should take some responsibility and at least pay for the patch job.
