Janice (jamasc) | 60116 comments I got Bird Box on today's Kindle deal, just in time for the toppler. I'm not sure I will read it for the toppler but it's on the list.

I also got The Legacy of the Key which was a freebie. I keep snapping up Morgan Rice's books when they are offered for free hoping that I will like them once I get to them. I guess if I don't, I can delete.

Tejas Janet (tejasjanet) | 3513 comments I bought The Soul of an Octopus: A Surprising Exploration into the Wonder of Consciousness for my stepdaughter on Kindle. I want to read it too but have to wait for it to become available at my city library. May be a while.

But a special book came in mail for me yesterday that I've been waiting for several months on back order. Secret Garden: An Inky Treasure Hunt and Coloring Book

It's a coloring book for adults. A present to myself just for fun.

Cherie (crobins0) | 21536 comments Cool book, TJ. No one is too old to color, no matter what the medium. I hope you have a good time!

message 610: by Sarah (new)

Sarah | 18550 comments I just bought Rawsome Vegan Baking: An Un-cookbook for Raw, Gluten-Free, Vegan, Beautiful and Sinfully Sweet Cookies, Cakes, Bars & Cupcakes which I'm really excited about. Yesterday I tried a raw cacoa ball that one of the other boaters had made and it was awesome. So I've bought this book (as well as £30 of ingredients) so I can try some of these things out.

message 614: by Sarah (new)

Sarah | 18550 comments I will definitely post some pictures once I get started on them. the pictures in the book are mouthwatering. this is my first attempt at raw food dishes. not intending on going down that route diet wise but a few additions wouldn't hurt especially tasty treats.

I also love kindergarteners, when they start to read and write is so funny. I love those chains of letters that are suppose to mean something! You'll see next year. :)

Samantha A Can't splurge until next month unfortunately. Paychecks got tied up and I won't be receiving any pay until July 15th and the last time I got paid was at the end of May. Money is very tight right now but all is temporary! Was happy to find good deals at the thrift store so I had a nice birthday with my kids :) my husband wasn't here for it because he's in boot camp, though.
