I have what I think could be a good addition to this discussion. For approximately 10 years, I've corresponded w/ Eldon Thompson (wrote the story, Unbowed, in the anthology). When I woke up enough to realize what we were reading, I sent him a note and asked if he'd be interested in answering any questions if the mods would be Okay w/ it (I've seen this well-received in the past few months). Here's his response:"Of course. I'd be happy to answer any questions readers may have with my story, or with the anthology in general. I could also forward to the anthology's editor, Shawn Speakman, to see if he'd be available to discuss. Just let me know what's involved, and I'll do my best."
I'm not sure how to go about it, but I figured I'd forward it to the group. I'll leave it to others to decide if/how this should proceed.
Enjoy all those stories and I may have to jump into this discussion in earnest (I've only done a few of the reading group discussions, and then only when I'd previously read it and had something to add - reading in a month for me is pretty near impossible).

Finally bought Unfettered. I will alternate between this and Rogues. Easy to do with short stories.
Ok, started Unfettered. Loved the first story Imaginary Friends. I enjoy stories that question if magic is real. The possibility that maybe, just maybe. It is real. Really liked the start of this one.
Ok. I believe I actually like this book better than Rogues. Rogues is really good and I am enjoying both books but after reading several of the stories from both I have to say Unfettered is a little better. If I change my mind after finishing both books I'll post it.
Really enjoyed Brooks' story, Imaginary Friends. He did an amazing job getting into the head of a child and keeping it in that style, quite a departure from the other work I've read from him. It read like how a child would think, and did so in a way that was undoubtedly charming. Solid first story (though the 2nd I've read).wf
Warren apologies. I missed your post. Any authors are of course welcome to join us, and answer questions. We just ask that they avoid spamming the group.Unfettered, will continue to be open for commenting.
