Great job Charlotte!

Well I leave my manicurist with wet nails all the time...but I am in NYC so just standing in a bus stop or getting on a bus, not driving a car! Sounds like a policy for NYC 😅.
Actually my favorite nail salon had the employees wearing masks before pandemic, to protect from chemicals and client germs.

Too bad, same thing with Scott Lynch who is in the middle of a series but apparently has some mental health issues. No excuses for George R. R. Martin that I know of!

Joi, I bet Lin-Manuel Miranda will do the right thing by other participants in the Hamilton experience. From the beginning, the whole cast (and crew, I suppose) shared in the proceeds.
BookConcierge, some of the counties & cities in Wisconsin are still doing their own thing, for instance Dane County/Madison is still restricted though we can have up to 5 people in a store now, pick up, etc. Luckily we no longer have our former governor, who would probably have dictated that no city or county could have different regulations than the state. I think all the people who went to the bars last night should have to give their name & contact info so that they can be traced if they get people sick. (I also think they should sign a waiver declining health care coverage! I wonder how insurance companies feel about this, usually if you have risky behavior like skydiving or car racing, insurance charges you more>)

I go to a small specialty shoe store to get walking shoes I can wear for any distance. There is a lot they can do with my shoes to help reduce the pain in my feet, knees, hip and back. They have my records and they put something different in my left vs right shoe, and it helps. When they get it right, I can bounce like Tigger. Right now, I feel like I'm walking on marbles.

He was raised right!

My son and his fiance had a wedding planned for July 18th. We were having so much fun making plans ..... SOB .... They've currently negotiated a postponement to October with the venue offering a discount for accepting a Friday rather than a Saturday. But, they may opt for a cancellation refund and plan a small family wedding in the bride's family home. Times are hard. But we were having fun with the idea of an October wedding with a halloween theme. We could all wear ppe masks!

My son and his..."
A good friend's son had a wedding planned, and family was due to fly in from Israel, etc. Not sure how it has all ended up as our recent conversations have been all about our mutual struggles in our respective law practice.

Trust me, Hamilton is worth $6.99 for a month if you decide to sooner sign up than later.

Yes .. City of Milwaukee came out with their guidelines, and the surrounding suburbs in Milwaukee County jointly put forth THEIR guidelines. I haven't bothered to check how they might differ. Of course, I live on the border with Ozaukee County (the county line is our lot line). And my manicurist in in Ozaukee. I haven't even looked theirs up yet. But from what the salon owner put out it seems to mirror Milwaukee County.
Only 1 patron at a time. No waiting. Masks required. Must wash hands AND use hand sanitizer as soon as you enter the property. Must leave immediately when your service is completed. I know the individual operators are restricted to working two days a week ... so appointments are spread out and there are fewer people in the building.
I asked my manicurist about the no waiting for nails to dry policy. I'm her first appointment of the day ... she's going to space her appointments at 45 min intervals so there's a 15- min buffer to allow for nails to dry.

I appreciate the heads up on Hamilton. That has been on my "want to see" list for a long time, but just haven't managed it.
Stay strong everyone, we will get through this. PBT is making a big contribution in keeping us sane!

I saw both of them the other day--this is a great start!

The recession has hit everybody really hard:
My neighbor got a pre-declined credit card in the mail.
CEO's are now playing miniature golf.
Exxon-Mobil laid off 25 Congressmen.
A stripper was killed when her audience showered her with rolls of pennies while she danced.
I saw a Mormon with only one wife.
If the bank returns your check marked "Insufficient Funds," you call them and ask if they meant you or them.
McDonald's is selling the 1/4 ouncer.
Angelina Jolie adopted a child from America.
Parents in Beverly Hills fired their nannies and learned their children's names.
My cousin had an exorcism but couldn't afford to pay for it, and they re-possessed her!
A truckload of Americans was caught sneaking into Mexico.
A picture is now only worth 200 words.
When Bill and Hillary travel together, they now have to share a room.
The Treasure Island casino in Las Vegas is now managed by Somali pirates.
And, finally...
I was so depressed last night thinking about the economy, wars, jobs, my savings, Social Security, retirement funds, etc., I called the Suicide Hotline. I got a call center in Pakistan, and when I told them I was suicidal, they got all excited, and asked if I could drive a truck.

This one was unexpected which made it even funnier.

I know! I actually had to read it twice! It was so unexpected and utterly hilarious!

Every newspaper in the country should do this.

I saw that. It needs to be carved in stone, but it is not over.
I guess it is reason enough to go golfing.(sarcasm)

I am high risk due to a heart condition as is my fiance'. I have been getting my groceries delivered to minimize exposure. I did have to think about whether it was morally right to make someone else be exposed more so I wouldn't be. I did research and where I order from requires masks for employees. I'm also making sure to tip well. I can't believe the people who offer big tips and then end up tipping nothing.
My work is having a few people voluntarily come back when our stay home order ends. I'm hoping they'll let people with medical conditions work from home for quite awhile longer. The thought of being in a crowded office building right now gives me panic attacks.
