I think the scene adds layers to pennywise as a character, and intensifies the main idea of the story (that he becomes your fear).
Pennywise is really messing with these kids heads. Eddie is the kid who’s afraid of germs and pennywise turned into a decomposing bum and his chasing after him and offering him a blowjob
oh my...that’s an image I won’t easily forget. poor eddie.pennywise may be my favorite horror lead now!
Is it because the psychological element of him? Because Freddy has that too. Tell me what you like about him
You know i’ve always liked freddy , but I really love the shape shifting aspect of Pennywise. Also, any character writtenby such a deep and thoughtful author will always catch my heart before a movie monster.
He’s definitely growing on me. His powers make for an interesting story and he seems to be even more psychological than Freddy. He’s very calculated
Technically, the only thing psychological about Freddy is that he attacks you in dreams. So the victims are afraid of the most important thing they need especially to handle a crisis. Pennywise however, can conform to the victims specific and personal fears. Unmatched.
You win!! Perfectly articulated. I would love to have had Freddy written in novel form. I can picture how iconic that novel would have been..
ugh! i love when you tell me i win! Agreed. But do you think it would have the same
impact being that it would be a novel based on a movie?
No, that’s why it would have been SO MUCH BETTER as a book. He’s already one of the biggest horror icons ever. The thing is pop culture usually dictates those types of things. Pennywise was one of those forgotten villains until the new movie came out
