David rolls the avoid breaking any bones but he give a large hiss of pain.

David sits up and finds his own dagger buried in his gut. He lays back down, breathing fast.
David gentle touches the area around the dagger. A spike of pain makes him stop immediately, “I hate you. Now I’m a VERY UNHAPPY bachelor!”
David gives a rough laugh, “This went well! STUPID TREE!!” He lets out a long string of curses at the tree.
David looked at the girl next to him, “What are you doing?”
“What? This” David gesture to his gut, “is the work of the evilest tree ever. Why do you care?”
David screamed in pain then he hissed at her, “Idiot! Now it can bleed freely! Are you trying to ki- of course you are!” He brought out his other dagger.
David dropped his dagger and grabs her wrist, “What are you DOING?!” Then he grunts in pain.
“Ugh.” David sighs and try’s to sit up, “What’s wrong with you? No way you fell from that tree unscathed.”
David lays back down, facing the sky, “get over here!” (What’s wrong with her?)

“Nothing is broken. Anything else hurt?” David asks his hand dropping.

David reached for her hand put couldn’t reach that far. So he sat up and wiped his hands on his pants then with one hand he gently grabbed her hair out of the way. With the other he felt her head, lightly pressing down ever so slightly. He smiled again.
“Nothing’s broken,” David drops her hair, “Concussion most likely.” Then he collapses, eyes closed.

Vic cringed, but the fact that she didn't remember, hurt a lot more then his hand.
