Chloe stands up, rigid. "WHO. THE. HECK. ARE. YOU?" She demands to Carter, holding up her spear defensively. The spear was too big for her 13 year old body, so she dropped it quickly to hold up the throwing knife. "Give me one reason not to throw it." she hisses.

Chloe suddenly feels intimidated, because Carter is so much taller than her as she sizes him up, but she holds her ground with the knive.
"Gladly," Chloe hisses. She waits a couple of seconds, but then she cocks her head. "Wait........you're serious?" she says, confused. What are you doing? TAKE THE OPPORTUNITY TO KILL SOMEONE! It must be humiliating to District 2 that you haven't, anyway.

Chloe hides behind a rock, figuring out what she's going to do.
Chloe knows she is going to die, so she takes Jordan's spear, the spear that had given her so much luck, the spear that helped her stay alive, the spear with Jordan's fingerprints on it. She begins to cry. She storms up to Blue. "Hiya!" she says. "So, tee hee! I got some fun news for you. You want to kill me, huh? Not going to give you the pleasure of that, killing a innocent 13 year old who is trying to live for her brother......so, here." She peirces herself in the chest with Jordan's spear. In her last breath, she kisses the spear. I love you, Jordan. Thanks, big brother.

Then Chloe's voice vanishes forever and ever.

Maisie stares at the two dead bodies silently, seemingly in a trance. She doesn't hear Blue's scream, only echoes of it, ringing through her head.

Maisie realizes she should be breaking, should be shaking, should be screaming, should be shrieking, should be killing someone, should be....killing herself. But she doesn't feel the need to. No, she feels....oddly at peace...as if...as....if... she were dying, yes that's it, that's the word, dying. She wasn't, of course, but she could imagine the peaceful trickle of her blood on her forehead, or on her stomach, softly singing her to eternal sleep. That must feel so good.
Maisie snaps out of her reverie.
"Shi-" She gasps.
She runs over to Blue and hugs her tightly, whispering "It's gonna be OK." over and over again.

Maisie sighs. "I think it's best if you do it now." She bites her lip. "So that Saudia doesn't...you know...and that way you won't have to see me kill Saudia"
