Trent woke up sometime later. His ankle bothered him a bit. He looked down at Rose smiling.

Suddenly, a silver glow comes from the other end of the cave. You can barely see where it's coming from, but the little yips and squeaks are easily recognizable.

Trent slipped out of Rose's hand and went over to the cave.
"Tiny Alligator?" he asked softly.

One of the alligators squeaked and ran over to Trent. Its silver scales weren't burning hot anymore, they were actually freezing cold.

Trent picked it up.
"You are really cold." he said to them softly. "Where is your mama?"

A loud roar came from the side of the cave. The ground shook and jerked around.

Trent set down the baby alligator. He woke up Rose.
"Hey." he said softly. "The alligators are here." he laughed a little.

Rose blinked open her eyes. "What?"

"We might be able to get out." he said softly. "Just pick up the alligators." he went over and picked another one up. "The mom will shake the cave and we can get out."

"Tell your mama to shake the cave." he says to the baby alligator.

The baby alligators all made a loud yipping noise, and the cave shook even more. The wall of rocks trapping Rose and Trent fell down, but then the cave didn't stop shaking. Rocks began falling from the ceiling.

Trent grabbed Rose and the baby and threw them out of the cave he got out after them but got hit on the shoulder with a heavy rock.

"TRENT!!" Rose screamed. " BABY! " She rushed over to him panting. "Trent? Are you ok?"

Trent groaned he layed on the ground.
"I think I got hit." he said. "How bad is it?" He pulls down his shirt a little and shows a purple bruise covering his shoulder.

Rose gasped and covered her mouth. “Oh Trent.”

"I'm fine." he said sitting up wincing. "We should go."

"Where do you want to go?" he asked while looking at his bruise.

She looked around and shook her head. “Where is the safest place to hide?”

"I don't know he said standing up wincing. "We could try the forest again and hide in the trees."

She’s looked at him concerned. “Are you sure your ok?”

"I'm fine." he says again trying to hide his pain. "Where do you want to go?"

She looked around. “We need a safe place, I saw an underground cave by the creek. We could hunt on the way.”

"Okay. Lets go." he said and smiled at her.
