SOLVED. Book from around 2006 possibly called Eclipse. [s]

Hi All,
I read a book in around 2006 possibly called Eclipse or observatory but Google search comes up with nothing. It was about a man who worked at an observatory (I think) and was kind of an outcast, a new lady started working there and was very desirable. Somehow she fell for him and things got pretty steamy. I’m pretty sure the book was written from his perspective. I’m not sure what happens in the end but I think it was discovered that he was never actually with the woman and fabricated it all in his head, he possibly kills the lady or someone gets killed in some way that is connected with him and the lady. His workmates are all in disbelief that he is with the woman throughout the story. The only other thing I can remember is that it was a Woman who wrote it. Maybe her first or second book? Also I borrowed the book from my then father in law so it may have been written before the mid 2000’s.

SOLVED. The book is Total Eclipse by Liz Rigbey, first published in 1995.

Great! I haven't read it, I just remembered previous search for it and wondered if it could be the same book.
