SOLVED. Shifter romance.... Heroine finds a little cub bear hiding in her house. [s]

Looking for a book i read about six years ago. Can remember much but here is what i do remenber.

The heroine just moved in to a new house an finds a little cub hidding in her pantry or a closet. She can tell that the cub is scared. I remember the father of the boy cub showing up at her door looking for him an i believe she lies about seeing him but father doesn't believe her. The hero ( i believe he is the alpha) eventually shows up to see whst is going on. The father ends up leaving and the hero heroine goes to the cub who i believe has shifted back and they could tell the kid had been abused and was scared of the father.

Sorry that is all i can remember. Hope someone recognize this book.
