Cait (clickcait) | 480 comments Morgan, that sounds incredible. I would've loved something like that at school. Actually, I'd still love to do something like that now, which is probably why I'm so looking forward to the Readathon!

message 52: by Adriana (new)

Adriana Pereira (adrianacecilia) If you still don't know how to fit the read-a-thon in your schedule, here's some good ideas from Barnes&Noble :P

message 53: by Anne (new)

Anne I'm bummed. :( This falls over the weekend of one of my big trade shows for work (and involves 3 days of standing in my booth plus 1700 miles of driving each way to Dallas and back home), so I won't be able to participate in this one... hoping to put the next one on my calender tho!!

message 54: by Anastasia (new)

Anastasia (anastasiaharris) | 319 comments We have plans that day, but I can take a book to read with me during down times. Multitasking the fun stuff. :)Count me in.

message 55: by Ashleigh (new)

Ashleigh (ashleighsbookshelf) I'm currently going mad and doing the Underhyped Readathon this week! It's my first time actually participating in a readathon and I'm really getting in to it so I'm looking forward to the one hosted on here! It actually falls on the day I finish at uni for Easter so I may just forget work for a little while and devote time to reading! :D

Carol Stankey (carolanne62) | 3 comments I am up for this.....My family will be gone to an event most of Saturday, so this should work out well. I am going to start earlier in the day on Friday just because I can, no one home but me for most of the day. I already have my books picked out that I will read that day.

message 60: by Tina (new)

Tina (tjlich) Oh fun! I happen to be free those days, March 20-21 so I think I'm going to buy a six pack of Red Bull and try to pull an all-nighter. It'll be perfect timing because I will have been in Vegas the week before (week 11 of the challenge) and will have had no time to read there. So I will read challenge weeks 11 and 12 during the read-a-thon and maybe move on to week 13 or something not even on the list.

FUN! Can't wait!

message 61: by Cristina (new)

Cristina (crystynadee) | 4 comments I am counting down the days until the first term read-a-thon! Nothing makes me more excited than to have a great excuse to do nothing more than read...

.•*¨`*•✿ ✿•*¨`*•. Christine .•*¨`*•✿ ✿•*¨`*• I might try. Having kid commitments makes it difficult to set aside a block of time for reading.

message 63: by Sophie (new)

Sophie (sawphie) I wasn't sure I would be able to participate, but it sounds so much fun that I just asked my boyfriend to find some activities to do on the 21th so I could be alone with my books! I'm a bit behind on the challenge and looking forward to see how many pages I'll be able to read!

The discussions and mini games are also a good way to make some pauses without entirely putting down the books.

message 64: by Tanya (new)

Tanya (xallroyx21) | 55 comments Home alone for the weekend, so I will have plenty of time to read!

I haven't seen this until now, sorry ^^ where are you from? :)

message 66: by Katie (new)

Katie (ktmac_1) If it begins March 20, 8:00pm CST, then most of the read-a-thon will take place on Saturday, March 21st, right? Several people have mentioned that the 20th is a Friday and they have school or work, but it would begin that evening, so maybe they could participate? :)
I am getting ready! I have several books ready to go!

message 67: by Michelle, Mod Assistant (new)

Michelle (girlvsbook) | 403 comments Mod
That is correct, Katie. It goes through the night into Saturday and most of Saturday.

Yes, indeed! And I am so stoked! We are going to have a grand ol' time.

Brittany (tinsel hoarding bookdragon) (gamerkiti) i'm excited for this readathon since this is my first one ever! i'm going to have to modify the times that i'm doing it though because i work most of today...so i'll probably start my 24 hours after work :)

Michelle (girlvsbook) | 403 comments Mod
No problem! Start when/where you can! It's all about having fun and I know we're going to have a good time. I've already worked out some fun little games and challenges for us and I'm excited to see everyone's responses, see what everyone's reading, their goals, etc.

.•*¨`*•✿ ✿•*¨`*•. Christine .•*¨`*•✿ ✿•*¨`*• Well, my participation got messed up a bit with family commitments, but I'm going to start a bit early (today 9am EST) and get my daughter to participate for 6 hours or so.

message 73: by Renee (Larimel) (new)

Renee (Larimel) (goodreadscomLarimel) | 62 comments I'm going to try completing all my chores and assignments during the day so I can completely commit to this readathon. My first ever. It helps that I'm a bit ill, I can stay in bed Saturday and no one will bother me :D

message 74: by Berit (new)

Berit | 138 comments I will be reading all weekend, I have so many challenges going on :-) I do love these challenges :-) although I have been all over the place on this one :-) can't wait to see what games and little challenges you all have in store for us :-)
