ABANDONED. whats the title?

I hope you can help me remember the title of a Kristen AShley book. All I remember is that the female character gets hurt or beat up and gets to the male characters apartment and he comes out and catches her before she collapses. Then he and his kids take her to the hospital. I know it's not a rock chick book. Maybe a dream man series? I can't remember which book it was so I'm not sure the whole plot. However, I know it was a woman in distress and it was an alpha male. I'm sure it was a Kristen Ashley book, I just can't remember which one.
