We learn that Patrick’s lengthy comas stem from a sensitivity to sedatives. When he was drugged, were you concerned that he might have a setback?

Anita (anitanodiva) | 2973 comments After finding out about his sensitivity I was really concerned. I didn't want to see him out again.

Karen ♐ (kmk1214) | 909 comments Yes, I was definitely concerned.

Charlene (charlenethestickler) | 1205 comments In ordinary life, I would have been fearful that he would have a relapse, but in this story world I thought he was going to be essential to the plot.

Putting him in a coma for two years was unexpected. I didn’t trust the author to handle him with care so, yes, I was really concerned.

Melissa (melissasd) | 676 comments It crossed my mind, but I wasn't overly worried about it. I knew that Lucy was going to need his help.

Anita (anitanodiva) | 2973 comments I thought putting him in a coma for two years was excessive too. I can't imagine that why she did that.

Robin (robinmy) | 2466 comments I was concerned when I learned about his sensitivity to sedatives.

I agree, Anita. Putting him in a coma for two years was excessive.

Karen ♐ (kmk1214) | 909 comments I often wondered why she had Patrick in such a long coma.

I know. Maybe we’ll find out in later books.
