I liked that the story took it's time to develop. It was great to see Lucy as an adult and Patrick too. The husband is always a suspect, but I reserved judgment at that time.
I liked that we got a little time with Patrick and Lucy before all hell broke loose. I thought the husband would be too obvious.
I also liked how long it took for this story to develop. It hooked me and I had to follow the clues.
I eliminated Trevor quickly. His grief seemed too genuine.

I think we all were pretty sure it was murder, but I didn't think he husband had anything to do with it. He seemed very distraught and really seemed to love his wife.I'm was happy to see Patrick doing so well and I liked seeing the two of them interact. I also liked how there were a bunch of clues for us, the readers, to try to piece together along with Lucy.
This novella was well written and kept my interest. It did take a while to develop, but we got to know Lucy as an adult and catch up on what she had been doing for the last several years. I also liked that all of the characters that were at the DeLarosa Retreat were introduced to us before a murder occurred.
