Query abandoned by poster > ABANDONED. This is a juvenile fictional book about an English boy in a British boarding school. I am quite sure that I read this book between 1970 and 1972.

Rainbowheart | 28670 comments I found several others while searching, but only a few were in England.

You're positive your book was set in England and not America?

Rainbowheart | 28670 comments And it seemed modern?

There are a lot of school stories from the 1800s and early 1900s. Would you say 1950 is the definite cut off for publication?

OP said the book was set in Great Britain, not in the U.S.

Did you delete all your comments in this thread, Heidi?

Rainbowheart | 28670 comments She said she found it, but she never told us what the book was. :(

Heidi Rainbowheart

I sent you a separate letter so
why don't you read that.

Why would you join a group and then not participate in the thread, but prefer to communicate with group members privately outside the group?

I'll leave this thread open for now in case you want to let people know if you found this book and what it was, but if you don't tell us publicly soon we're going to close the thread. There's really no point in us trying to badger you for information that for some reason you don't want to give.

Heidi Since you force me to repeat myself I will
basically tell you what I told Rainbowheart.

I am very upset about the way I
have been treated by this website--
What's the name of that book.
I initially did three postings and all 3
of those postings were locked and
frozen. Now 3 years ago I did
just a few postings. I had not
read the rules carefully enough
and apparently my postings were
not done correctly. I then re-did
2 of the postings and somebody
deleted those 2 postings without
saying anything. I didn't re-do
my 2 initial postings because
they had been locked and frozen.

I just recently tried to just delete
all of my postings. Most of them
I deleted however there was one
that I couldn't.

I am very upset about the way I
have been treated by this website.
I did all the work to find the
correct book about the guy in
the British boarding school so no
I don't particularly want to tell you.

I actually would prefer that
you close this thread at this
point.

Heidi I think I have been
very badly treated by this
website. I don't know if
I have been singled out for some
reason or whether you treat
all your members so poorly.

Heidi Whoever deleted my 2 new
postings I think that was
inexcusable.

Rosa (rosaiglarsh) | 5384 comments All Rainbowheart wanted to do was be helpful. She's never been anything but kind, friendly, and helpful to everyone in this group. She isn't a moderator and has no control over which threads are closed. So I hope you aren't blaming her for your frustration.

Amber (Daisymau) (daisymau) | 1912 comments Sorry to say this, but the rules of the site come up at the beginning of the thread. They also come up when you start a thread. You're not the only poster who's threads have been frozen, so you're not being singled out. Rules are rules and nobody was rude to you. The rules of posting are very simple. You either follow them or you don't. There's no reason to send anyone a private message ranting about how you felt you were singled out.
