ABANDONED. Historical fiction- man's father runs a factory & has him intern in different city. He lives with his aunt & uncle for a while who can't have children. He meets a girl in the factory & falls in love with her. She has a daughter. Spoilers.

He falls in love with the woman in the factory but she is married and has a daughter. She ran away from her husband because he was abusive. He stops her from being fired at the factory. He gets her and her daughter to stay with him at his aunt and uncle's house. The aunt and uncle love having her daughter there as the child they never could have. Eventually the husband starts causing problems. They all try to run away together, but the woman gets killed. The guy raises the daughter or she stays with the aunt and uncle and eventually learns the truth about her mother. The novel ends with her hearing the end of the story and confronting the guy about it. Pretty sure the guy kills the husband after he kills the woman and the daughter is kidnapped. Something about hiding in a hotel room is where her memories are triggered and she remembers.

I don't know where to post if I want to find books I've forgotten so i've put it here so I may be helped. I have tried new topic but it says can't be saved because it has no context although I have filled in all that must be filled in and I don't know where to put the context.
I am trying to read all discussions and comments.

Please help me find this book. It is about a knight who was granted a land due to his deed during the crusade. He has a mistress named Veronique who later betrayed him because this knight was about to marry a lady. That is all I can remember. Please help. Thank you.
