RandomAnthony | 14536 comments Hm. James, are you going to start an introductory thread every day?:)

I like Hemingway, too. I finished For Whom The Bell Tolls a couple weeks back. Gotta write a review sooner or later.

message 2: by Stephen (new)

Stephen (stephenT) I wondered if you would ever finish it.

message 3: by Rachel (new)

Rachel | 1106 comments Is that the James?

Once again, bunny out.

message 4: by Félix (new)

Félix (habitseven) Say it again, please.

message 5: by Rachel (new)

Rachel | 1106 comments The James is online!!!

*keeps very still*

message 6: by Félix (new)

Félix (habitseven) I believe that may be true. *waves to James*

message 7: by Rachel (new)

Rachel | 1106 comments *whispers* will the james eat me?

message 8: by Félix (new)

Félix (habitseven) I think it's vegetarian. It lives in California, after all.

message 9: by Rachel (new)

Rachel | 1106 comments California....don't they sell rabbit meat there?

message 10: by Félix (new)

Félix (habitseven) No, it's the French who consume ... uh ... rabbit in large quantities.

message 11: by Rachel (new)

Rachel | 1106 comments Ach!!!

....they have rabbit farms in Florida...I know of this...they eat bunnies, too!!!!!!!!

message 12: by Félix (new)

Félix (habitseven) I would never ever. *shivers*

message 13: by Rachel (new)

Rachel | 1106 comments Not you, Larry...the James!!!! the James is from California...which probably gets rabbit meat from Florida!

message 14: by Félix (new)

Félix (habitseven) Hmmmm ... perhaps. Perhaps we should initiate a background check ... look for bunny ROs?

message 15: by Rachel (new)

Rachel | 1106 comments INTRUDERS!

*keeps very still*

message 16: by Félix (new)

Félix (habitseven) A dinosaur, too.

message 17: by Rachel (new)

Rachel | 1106 comments *whispers* BunWat...have you captured the...you-know?

message 18: by Félix (new)

Félix (habitseven) The James? The new guy who probably thinks we're bonkers?

message 19: by Rachel (new)

Rachel | 1106 comments Nope...the...*whispers* snark...

*keeps very, very still*

message 20: by Félix (new)

Félix (habitseven) Ah *softly* the snark.

message 21: by Rachel (new)

Rachel | 1106 comments Well...have you, BunWat? Have you caught it? And what do I hear about "serving it with green"...that's depleting the bunny food source!

message 22: by Félix (new)

Félix (habitseven) Love it.

message 23: by Félix (new)

Félix (habitseven) Only a breeze.

message 24: by Rachel (new)

Rachel | 1106 comments WHAT WAS IT! WHAT WAS IT!!!!!!!!

*darts around in a panic*

WAS IT THE JAMES?!

message 25: by Félix (new)

Félix (habitseven) Well, at least it wasn't the Matt this time.

message 26: by Rachel (new)

Rachel | 1106 comments Ach!!!! The MATT?! Who is this?!

message 27: by Félix (new)

Félix (habitseven) The one from whom we hid in the previous day/night.

message 28: by Stephen (new)

Stephen (stephenT) I always miss the funnest stuff. James, the bunny is actually a very funny 15-100 year old girl. She is feisty, and worries about depletion of bunny food sources. Larry is her mentor in all things silly.

I love them both. You should engage the bunny in some sort of silliness, she excels.

message 29: by Rachel (new)

Rachel | 1106 comments Oh...the Matt....now there's the James, too...

Hey, Stephen!

Where's Larry...we need to bag him now. Over, over. He's here!!!!

message 31: by [deleted user] (new)

Uh...weren't we talking about Hemingway?

message 32: by Stephen (new)

Stephen (stephenT) Larry is in Omaha in an all day meeting. Sorry.

Gus, speak not of Hemingway. I have been trying my damnedest to get the Hemingway group to talk about "The Capital of the World" and only three can be bothered to respond. Of course, it's short, and nearly pointless, but hey. That's Hemingway.

message 33: by [deleted user] (new)

That's a pity, Larry. I like Hemingway.

message 34: by Rachel (new)

Rachel | 1106 comments Oh...aww shucks...Kay, then...Stephen, would you willingly follow me onto a ship so I can torture you in international waters in an attempt to gain some information, regardless of how useless?

message 35: by Stephen (new)

Stephen (stephenT) Yeah, I like the Nick Adams stories, and a few of the other shorts stories. What I do not like is a group that refuses to talk about the stories when they joined a group to talk about the stories. That's not convoluted is it?

message 36: by [deleted user] (new)

Gus wrote: "That's a pity, Larry. I like Hemingway."

I have never taken the time to read any Hemingway, what do you like about him that may get me interested in reading him?

Stephen (stephenT) Rachel wrote: "Oh...aww shucks...Kay, then...Stephen, would you willingly follow me onto a ship so I can torture you in international waters in an attempt to gain some information, regardless of how useless?"

No

message 38: by Stephen (new)

Stephen (stephenT) Helllooooo Mr. Jim

It will be fun...there will be carrots. You can have an inch...and a half, if Larry is generous enough to give you his portion...and there will be a nice view of blue sky and blue sea and blue whales and everything...

Stephen (stephenT) Rachel wrote: "Stephen wrote: "Rachel wrote: "Oh...aww shucks...Kay, then...Stephen, would you willingly follow me onto a ship so I can torture you in international waters in an attempt to gain some information, ..."

And the torture......No

message 41: by Rachel (new)

Rachel | 1106 comments It's okay! After a while the pain numbs...then it's not so bad! We'll let you have breaks in between, too!

message 42: by Rachel (new)

Rachel | 1106 comments Jim? The man who won't play hockey with me and who also hates Man United... *growls like a bunny*

message 43: by [deleted user] (new)

Stephen wrote: "Helllooooo Mr. Jim"

Hello Stephen - any Hemingway recommendations?

message 44: by [deleted user] (new)

Rachel wrote: "Jim? The man who won't play hockey with me and who also hates Man United... *growls like a bunny*"

If it is any consolation I really dislike the Yankees and Notre Dame also.

message 45: by Stephen (new)

Stephen (stephenT) The Nick Adams stories are my very favorite. As for novels, well, my favorite is the one unpublished at his death, Islands in the Stream. It is by far my favorite. Hemingway was a complex man, and I think he pared down his prose far too much, but that's just my opinion. Get on RA's case for not writing a review of the Hemingway he finished two weeks ago.

message 46: by [deleted user] (new)

He'll get to it when he has time, patience Stephen.

message 47: by Stephen (new)

Stephen (stephenT) Message quote from RA to Ben Ha...finished a couple weeks ago, just haven't written a review...by Wednesday or so, sir:) Thanks for checking.

False accusation.

message 48: by [deleted user] (new)

What were you accused of?

message 49: by Stephen (new)

Stephen (stephenT) Um, fun! *sigh*

message 50: by [deleted user] (new)

Well you seem to have fun Stephen :).
