Shar This one will definitely be a challenge for me... I'll have to keep my eye out through out this year to find one. Unless you happen to know of any authors that have the initials S and Y, that'll be helpful.

Genesis Rogers-Lewis (zombiegigi) I need the initials G and L, if anyone has ideas please.

message 4: by Shar (new)

Shar Genesis- Here is one I found. Gail Carson Levine

Shar Oh man. I found one for me. Sara Young... but all she writes about is Jesus... I think I'll continue my search...

I've got JB... I heard there is a comic book author I migt be able to track down. :)

message 8: by Shar (new)

Shar I was just at the library picking up a couple books, and I just realized it'll probably be easiest to just go to the library. Look in the area you want (ie: fiction, non-fiction, YA) and go to your last initial, then look for someone who has your first initial. Or! Do an Amazon search for your initials. Make sure to put an asterisk after the initials.

Good plan! Thanks for sharing. :)

Valery | 22 comments I'm hoping just first and last initials count and I don't need to match the middle as well? Or... if the author doesn't use their middle, then it doesn't matter. But if they do, it has to match? :P

message 12: by Shar (new)

Shar Haha! I'm not even bothering with the middle initial. I'll count myself lucky if there is a event book out there by an authors with my first and last initial.

Valery | 22 comments So, I did a quick search at the library today and found a book called Foreign Tongue: A Novel of Life and Love in Paris by Vanina Marsot. This is not something I probably would have EVER in a million years discovered on my own, but since it seems to be a romance with musings on language and culture and how things can be lost in translation, I think I may actually enjoy it.

message 14: by Valery (new)

Valery | 22 comments Jessi, Jim Butcher! :D

message 15: by Shar (new)

Shar Aw! Jim Butcher would have been a perfect one for me... Had my initials corresponded...

message 16: by Jill (new)

Jill (jillanna) I am having trouble with the initals J N. Any help would be appreciated.

message 17: by Maria (new)

Maria Shuffit (mmaru) | 2 comments I thought my initials, MCD, would be a synch, but I'm having a hard time finding anything that looks even remotely like something I might like. I'm getting married later this year and debating putting off this challenge book till my initials change to MCS :)

message 18: by Alison (new)

Alison (athums) I have a poplar last name, Miller. Finding something other than Arthur Miller is the challenge. I've read the Crucible once and that was enough, thank you!

message 19: by Terri (new)

Terri Kleinberg | 18 comments Finally found an author with my initials, she was right under my nose, so to speak. Tabitha King, I've read Stephen King for years but this will be the first time I've read anything by Tabitha.

Valery | 22 comments Wow, the book I stumbled across at the library turned out to be an excellent choice for a passionate word nerd with a background in linguistics and a smattering of high school French. :P
