Serenity wanted to make another friend so she created a daisy and gently let it go so it fell into Emerson's lap. She took out her pony tail and let her long her free in the wind. She looked at Aeris as if they were having a telepathic conversation.

Serenity landed next to Aeris. " I'm Serenity" she said smiling a twinge of jealousy shooting through her. her hair was also flying in the wind but Serenity was never none to care for her looks and simply ignored it

Aeris realised that both girls had perfect hair. It didn't matter that they thought was messy, but he did enjoy the nice smell that came with their shampoo. Was it weird to think like that? He wasn't sure about that as well. He noticed that Serenity was trying to be friends with Emerson with the daisy, and smiled approvingly at the Goddess.

He calmed the breeze down, so that his hair wouldn't be flying around as well, but he thought that it would help the two ladies beside him. "Hey Em, do you think I should buy a random green tie to fit your dress? I think it's going to look weird," he admitted, forgetting that Serenity was there and might potentially feel left out about the dance.

Serenity, understandably, was stung by the comment as she had assumed they had moved on from the topic and thought she could ask him. As calm as she could she stood up. " I have to go" she said cheerfully easily hiding how she was really feeling.

As she left her feet left a trail of death everywhere she stepped her magic once again responding to her emotions. She had walked a long way before she could sit down and slowly and silently cry.

Aeris thought that he should have done something, but it seemed like a girl talk kind of session. But it didn't stop him from using the wind to listen in on their conversation. He did notice the dying of grass, and wondering why did Serenity feel sad, and what was she sad about.

Aeris sighed, and ruffled his hair again, waiting to see what the two girls would say.

Serenity's hair was gently flowing in the wind looking more like life than death now. Her eyes twinkled with unshed tears as she looked at Emerson. " I'm fine" she repeated turning away as she braided her wavy hair.

Aeris was just hearing a series of "I'm fine" "Are you okay", and he couldn't take it anymore. He levitated towards them and landed gently on the grass, "Are you girls okay? Serenity?" His eyes were filled with concern, but yet he still noticed both girls' hair. It seemed like their hair was definitive of their mood that day, and he was just at awe at them.

"No one's going to leave this place feeling sad all right, Em, don't feel this way," he bent down and touched her cheek gently, trying to comfort her. Till then, he didn't know that he had such a huge impact on Serenity's emotions.

Aeris sighed, and waited for Serenity's response, hoping that she would be all right soon.

Serenity nodded, a bit calmer as her signature flower- the tiger lily started appearing in her hair. " I'm fine" she said softly. Even though her hair was braided it fell to her hips. A tiger lily formed next to ear and she lifted her hand up to brush it. " I really am" she stood up. " I guess I'll just go now" she said snapping her fingers. The path of death she had created instantly replenished itself.

Aeris was confused by Serenity's behaviour, and mentally reminded himself to look for her later. She seemed like she needed some time alone, and at least she wasn't killing things then leaving them as they were. "Serenity, do you need some time alone?" he asked her.

He turned his attention to Emerson, and asked her, "Are you all right Em? Why the rainy mood?"

"Talk to me Em," he tilted her chin up, and made her look him in the eye. It was a chillier afternoon then, and his breath turned to mist. It was like the world only consisted of the two of them, and Aeris suddenly realised he might do something he would end up either loving or regretting. He hoped that Serenity didn't catch that entire interaction, and he summoned some cold wind to cool himself down.

He smiled as she did sounded like she believed in what she said. "Well ladies, it's getting late, and getting colder here. Do you girls want to go back to the academy soon? There's a ton of things we can do back there under the warmth of the academy," Aeris suggested.

The weather was rather chilly, and he had made sure that the biting wind that was about to travel in their direction had shifted directions, and went elsewhere instead, he didn't want anyone to fall sick on their first day at school.

Serenity sighed. " I'm fine here" she said " I just want to be alone" she turned away from them and her eyes got a vacant look as if she was turning into a shell

"Are you cold Serenity?" Aeris asked in concern, and he flicked his wrist to create a warm bubble around her. Her voice seemed off, but he did not want to pressurise her more.

Turning to Emerson, Aeris wrapped his scarf around her, and made sure that she was warm, adding an extra layer of warm air around her. "Feel better? Let's head back," he asked her, and started walking towards the academy.

Aeris wanted to run after Serenity, but the girl beside him was already shivering, evidently cold, and he couldn't help but wrap his arm around her shoulders, pulling her close to him.

"Here, I hope you feel warmer," he said, smiling and speaking in a softer tone, in tune with the dying sun behind them.
