Caelana blushed and tried to change the subject quickly "Isn't the sky blue today?" She asked.
Caelana nodded and congratulated herself in her mind that she had managed to change the subject very smoothly and he had never known the difference.
Nico didn't know what to say, he was suspicious when she changed the subject but he didn't make notice of it.
Twilight watched them from a few feet away. He didn't want to kill Nico for being near Caelana after Nico had won his trust by helping him with the rose bushes but he was still wary and close enough that if Nico tried to harm her all it would take is a leap to get there and save her. His yellow eyes narrowed on him. He didn't like boys. They were untrustworthy and never shared their feelings. They also never cried which was very strange to Twilight because girls did it all the time. Except for Caelana. She only cried a few times ever in her life. Twilight shook away the memory and focused again on Nico.
Nico doesn't Twilight. "So..." he starts even though he doesn't know where that sentence is going.
Caelana looked out at the grassy fields surrounding them and sighed happily. "I love it out here." She said.

Caelana turned to him and waited for him to continue speaking.
She smiled. "This is one of my favorite places here. Besides the library." She said.
Caelana nodded "There's only one problem with the library." She said.
"That you can't reach the top shelves?" Nico guessed.
" Thankfully" she said. "The only people I've had to ask for help are nice quiet talk boys." She grinned again.
Caelana stared up at the beautiful sky. She loved it .
Nico stared at the clouds.
She then asked Nico in what she hoped was a casual voice. "So.. Do you have any birthday plans?"
Nico was startled by the question. "I had forgotten," he said.
"How could you forget your birthday?" She asked in shock.
Caelana 's brain whirled with schemes. She pulled out her phone and shot Carter a quick text. She then put her phone away.

Caelana said "I'm surprised that Twilight hasn't attacked you yet."

"Jacob," Laavi asked, "you there?"

"Jacob!" Laavi was panicked, "Come on, it's just me"
Laavi turned to Shyan, "You need to go"
Laavi looked around, Jacob was gone again. He had said he wanted to be alone, and it was the truth. She was mad at Shayan. She fidgeted with her necklace as Floofy climbed onto her head. "Hey little guy," she smiled.
Laavi sent a text to Jacob and sat down by a tree.
Her phone dinged. It was Jacob. She sent him a quick reply, and then, still against the tree, fell asleep.
Laavi had slept lightly, so the notification woke her up. Yeah, I'm still in the fields
"Good," she got up, Floofy on her shoulder, and asked, "So wanna go somewhere?"
Laavi remembered the other day, "Wait, he might be making out, and I don't wanna walk in on that again" she laughed.
"If you insist," she said, leading the way.
Carter and Caelana greeted each other and began on their 15 mile run.
They were running in the forest now and 7 miles in.
Laavi walked out. She was wearing a striped oversized shirt which she had tucked in her black jeans. Her hair was in a french braid and she was wearing a necklace. She looked around for Jacob
