I am finished with this too — it’s about a 3.5 star read for me. Haven’t decided if I am rounding up or not. What worked for me is the anticipation and build up. I did think the series premise weak. Family dynamics were fun, but I agree with Alex that there were too many characters. May add more thoughts later.

Yes, I did enjoy the small details like her wearing the green dress, the lillies and the stockings etc. It definitely helped make their relationship seem more plausible.

Yeah, me too.

I am also interested in Robert's story!Did u start it?

So, I just finished the entire series and I will say I really liked Robert's and Lucinda's story! The ending wasn't as abrupt either, which is how I felt about 'The Rake'. This BOTM I felt left much to be desired in the end. However, Evelyn's story was my favorite (the second story).

Oh! Good to know. I was thinking to read book 3, but maybe I should give the whole series a chance.

Care to start reading together?

Sure! I will have to purchase, but I would love to start a buddy read next week if you want to create the discussion thread.

I'd like to join if there is room for one more (I have to get the books as well).

I already have it.I can send it to you in ebook if you wish.Otherwise we can wait until you get it.

It would be great to join!I will check how I can create a buddy read for the 3 of us!So nice :)

Based on reviews and the fact that I love a war hero, I think book 3 might be good. If you read only one more, you can add to your series challenge.
