With my part time school work on top of working full time I will not have time to read one book a week, so I am going to find books that will qualify for multiple categories each!

Welcome Genesis!

Kieren | 74 comments Hey guys random here from vancouver, Canada. Was looking for a challenge for the new year! Are you all doing it in order or just skipping through and doing whatever?

message 6: by Elena (new)

Elena | 4 comments Hiya!
Looking for a new challenge for the year and this looks like a more interesting one than 'from this genre'.
As Kieren said are people doing this in any specific order?
Also wondering if people wanted to discuss books they were reading :)
Happy New Year from Wales (bit early)

Kieren | 74 comments I'd be keen to hear about what others are reading!

Hello Kieren & Elena. I was not thinking about any particular order to read the books. But my plan with creating a discussion post for each category was so we can each list what we will be reading, and then let the group know when the books are finished. I think it would be very neat to get everyone's opinions on the books as we go. Thanks for joining up!

Stacy (missmcstace) Hi, nice to meet you :-) I'm looking forward to taking part in this challenge. It should be fun finding the books too!

message 11: by Kylie (new)

Kylie I'm in (thanks Kieren) ... I'll be doubling up on some too simply because I'm a teacher (English of all things) so at times, my reading for pleasure gets left behind ... Add three small people in my life and well, you get the idea ;)

I'm excited to try to read out of my usual comfort zone ... And cheating with my first book though - Dragonfly in Amber fits the over 500 pages category and while I started in 2014 I'll be finishing in 2015 (hopefully today) ... Plans to hopefully read book 3 next set of school holidays (if I don't start in the next two weeks!) ...

Oh ... From sunny ole Australia :)

message 12: by Kieren (new)

Kieren | 74 comments Yay!!! Welcome :) I'm yet to find my 500 page book. But I have a steady growing list of other books now haha

message 13: by Kieren (new)

Kieren | 74 comments I now have roughly half of my books chosen. Saving the rest for when I have whittled down that list a bit.

message 16: by Maria (new)

Maria (mariahkeepscool) | 3 comments Ooo I plan on doing this. I've already planned most of my books.

message 17: by Dani (new)

Dani B I'm so glad I found this group. I had planned to do this challenge and was looking for a good way to keep track. :) I think my challenge is going to be deciding what category I should check off for what book. My first book meets multiple categories!

message 18: by Rachel (new)

Rachel (raer) | 3 comments Hi guys! I'm excited about doing this challenge. I've joined a group on Facebook doing the same challenge, but I wanted to have a place where I could post reviews of the books and tag them in ways specific to the book challenge. So here I am, and I'm already done with my first book (non-fiction category)!

Since some people have already asked, I'm doing mine out of order. I'm going to do the books in whatever order I decide to do them in. I don't have all of mine planned, but I do have a couple already planned out and others I intend to get eventually to read for the challenge. Nice to see so many people are here!

Kieren | 74 comments Finished my first book! I read Unbroken- you may see the previews at the moment. Fantastic book but quite heavy. I need something a bit lighter now! Thanks to this challenge my iPad is quite full of books!
