I usually brainstorm any hypothetical thing that could happen from the most serious (i.e.; best friend dies, a bomb blows up a country) to the most random (i.e.; they escape the lair by jumping on a pony, they throw sparkles everywhere and have a party)
I look at writing prompts, too. It doesn't contribute towards the story you're writing, obviously, but it'll help you get out of the phase where you're not writing. Which is helpful.
Sometimes the one word prompts can help me to add something to an existing story or spark an idea for a new one

If I have WB, I usually just ignore it, and stop writing. I go outside, drive, and eat somewhere... then eventually it will come back to me. But when I'm on deadline, I usually rewrite four, five pages with colored pens, move it from my computer to my notebook. It's a simple trick and works everytime.
The music idea sounds good, but only instrumental stuff so you don't get distracted by lyrics. Tapping ones pencil/pen to the drumbeat is a sure way to invite Writers Block.Stepping away from your writting for a few minutes is also good.
Switching to a different piece of writting could also help. If you are working on a story perhaps switch to a poem or another story. Of course the problem with that is you could get so involved with the other stuff you never finish the original thing you were writing.
I like music as only instrumental sometimes and other times the lyrics can be inspiring so it really depends
I always brainstorm any somewhat-possible things. (For example, if a character is driving in the snow and they drive into the ditch it's possible they could simply drive out or get stuck and they call a tow truck or they could be in the middle if an air-raid with bombs dropping on them...) This usually gets random ideas flowing until I find the right scenario I want to create...
