this book was really good! i read it for the first time a few weeks ago online and it was better than i thought it was going to be. the plot and characters were gripping! i couldn't stop reading it!
I just got the series for Christmas and finished Hunger Games last night and started Catching Fire. The books helped me understand the movies better.I watched the movies then read the books.
I read it about a year ago and loved it. Only thing that irritated me was the love triangle. I know it works for obvious reasons, but honestly, I feel it was done to ride the love triangle wave started by Twilight. The book would have worked just as well without it, because the true conflict between Katniss and Peeta is her being able to love ANYONE, since she's all about survival. But other than that, I think the writing was solid and the story engrossing.

On the whole, I think these books are well-written, with believable characters and engaging plot.
Loved the book. I thought it was very well done, except for the whole romance thing. I think that was an unnecessary addition.
Really enjoyed this book when I read it, but the idea of kids killing each other was hard to stomach. I actually found the film easier to digest! :)
I loved the HungerGames series and movies(have to see Mocking Jay PT1),seen Divergent the movie, can't wait to start the series
It is brutal, but I thought it was really engaging and well written. Couldn't put it down--and that's not something I say about a lot of books.
