sara @Kevin Connor I'd definitely not go to Sparrow High whatever happens, my own High school experience was harrowing enough without water dripping on me all the time

Jo March | 11 comments I would go if I didn't know about the curse. I don't like how people throw parties to celebrate the Swan season while someone dies or is possessed.

Kevin Connor | 287 comments Crazy people indeed.
So, Do you want to tell us about anything that you witnessed and it could be considered as crazy. It could be anything and done by anyone; family, friends, etc.

What would you have done if you were in their shoes?

And also, what would you have done if you were in Sparrow town? Would you have attended the parties or would you choose to abandon your friends such as Penny was going to at the start but went nevertheless.

Dalia | 183 comments I’ve been reading another book so I’m only on chapter 6 of this one. I find Penny to be a bit of a Mary Sue. A shy, outcast girl who is best friends with the artistic party girl. She thinks of herself as uninteresting and not exciting, and despises her “plain” brown hair. She is experiencing family issues with a dead father and a mom who won’t help herself or her daughter. I am however really enjoying the dark, eerie theme of the book.

sara Hey you guys, I know I've been absent but I've been a bit swamped so sorry for that...I still haven't read ahead so I can't say a lot more but I'll get it done in a few days and post out here... I am so sorry I'm being that person hope you guys understand!!

Kevin Connor | 287 comments Now that many have completed the book, we can have simple conversations.

What do you think of Sparrow? What part of Sparrow would you want to invite us to see? We are tourists. You are free to kill us after making us love you too!

Kevin Connor | 287 comments And side point: Does anyone want to discuss any of the Witch trials? For ex: Salem Witch trials.

Kevin Connor | 287 comments And also: Do you know about the fact that NetFlix won the screen rights to The Wicked Deep after an extremely heated and vigorous auction. Chernin Entertainment will produce it! Paramount Players lost extremely closely.

You can discuss this too.

Jo March | 11 comments I'd love see this story in Netflix. I'm sure they will make it amazing (at less, I hope that)

Jo March | 11 comments About Sparrow, I'd like know the lighthouse, the apple trees and try a forgetful cupcake.

Where I live we have the legend of the Mothman. Like from the movie The Mothman Prophecies. I don't believe the entire info about it but I do believe some of the legend that goes with it. The movie is not that great of a source FYI the real stories are in the town where it happened and it's just fascinating.

I honestly liked Bo right away. Not sure why but I trusted him and liked him instantly.

Kimmy | 4 comments I finished this and absolutely loved it!! The storytelling in this book is great and I really enjoyed the romance even though it seems like it will be super cheesy. I think it worked out beautifully though. The ending took me completely by surprise, did not see that coming! Great book! 5 out of 5 for me!

Dalia | 183 comments I honestly never saw the plot twist coming. I thought for sure Rose was going to be Hazel! I did guess that Gigi would be one of them,

Kevin Connor | 287 comments For the entire book. Even after getting to know the story twist, I still thought that Rose was Hazel. Haha

Kevin Connor | 287 comments I was completely convinced. So much that I tried to convince myself that the story twist was a type of lie or a misdirection. Really I expected till the last chapter, Rose to show up and claim that she was the real Hazel. Haha

sara @Kimmy I love the myth you have around in your town..it's fascinating!!

Dalia | 183 comments That’s what made this book great. And I loved how Bo was so convinced he was in love with Penny but at the end went to Hazels grave and realized he was actually in love with her.

Neva (nevanescence) | 3 comments I kinda thought Hazel would just come back every year just for him, then Bo gets both Penny and Hazel. Some Pirates of the Caribbean Elizabeth and Will Turner type ending.
Also I remember early in the book wondering why we hadn't heard the protagonist's name yet, I think the author set the ambiguity up nicely.

Dalia | 183 comments Smol Porg wrote: "That's what I thought, too. I thought that after their little talk that she'd be like, well see you next year BUT NO."

She felt that it wasn’t right to keep stealing Penny’s body. And if she didn’t kill herself, her sisters would keep killing the boys in town.
