Who or what are aliens? Are ETs real, fictional, interdimensional beings, paranormal apparitions, AI robots, or "all of the above"??

Very interesting, Dennis... although, I have a hard time buying into the idea that we are simulations... I'm listening to your posted podcasts to see if it will lure me to revisit the idea :)
....ooops...well, I was listening to it, but it decided to stop working for me, so I'll try again later.
I have often wondered if there being other intellectual species on earth besides human beings... technically, evolution has not disproven that.... and we are continuously reading about the findings of our early ancestor's remains.... perhaps a "higher" species evolved from one of those ancestors... thousands of years of evolution could have created a species who perhaps are the head of the elite? It is also just as likely that there are aliens among the elite, though.... both are plausible theories in my mind.... and also equally implausible!
I have to say that all the various suggestions of what could be the truth, all sound like they fit the description of Hollywood movies I've seen... what's interesting about that, is if I use that in the context of what you just said, then if we are being mind controlled, then why not allow us to experience the truth in form of our own fictional creations, such as movies?
On to something different, because I can't find the thread it belongs to:
Somewhere I remember you talking about an experiment which consisted of sensing electricity in human beings prior to major events occurring, such as 9/11....James posted this video: https://www.goodreads.com/videos/8743...
It made me think of what you were talking about.... I'd like to read the research paper(s) on it, Incl. the statistical report.... I'm not sure I understand why he says that for instance 33% chance (when 25% was to be expected) means that there is a probable correlation.... in my opinion, without looking at the data, this could be due to random chance...... also, one of the professors (or scientists) says that science is based on assumptions....I didn't like that at all....I don't agree with the usage of the word assumption in describing science... in my opinion, the more appropriate word is hypothesis.... science is based on either accepting a null hypothesis or rejecting it....I don't remember ever coming across a paper that 'assumes' anything.

I am looking forward to watching that video, and then hopefully I can comment on your statements.
I'm not sure about the term assumption vs hypothesis though. I found an article that describes assumptions pretty well (I'm not a science guy). http://undsci.berkeley.edu/article/ho... and it basically says that while testing a hypothesis, certain assumptions are made - ie, if putting bacteria on a petri dish, we assume that the dish itself does not affect the bacteria in any way.

Thanks again for listening.

which man?
Your ET man who arrived on Earth in 1947?

which man?
Your ET man who arrived on Earth in 1947?"
Lol - not quite. More Thai than Extraterrestrial, and a bit younger than that! But having grown up there, he may know a bit more about the local area. Can't say I've ever really asked beyond whether he's ever seen a UFO.
He got a bit dodgy on that. Maybe it's time to bring it up again!

My own theory is that these pre Adamic races gave us forbidden knowledge (forbidden because we were not evolved enough to put it to good use, but rather used the knowledge to perpetuate war and bloodshed). ..."
Very possible, Little = enlightening post, thanks.

You mean like the plot for Battlestar Gallatica?

Hey Martin. I never saw that show, or at least I only vaguely recall.

I considered writing a story about an advanced race of humans that went off to space in ancient times and then came back in our time. I haven't found the right angle for it so that one stays on the back burner.

The World's most amazing Humanoid encounter cases. The bizarre, real, global reports of; UFO occupants - Ultraterrestrials, Extraterrestrials, Cryptoterrestrials, Robots & more. Mysterious beings - Bigfoot, Flying Humanoids, Werewolves, Mermaids, Dwarves and even stranger exotic humanoids. Albert S. Rosales is the world's leading expert on humanoid encounter cases.

the interesting thing about this is that they r building a megastructure keeping the gravitational pull balanced....
Press reports on spurious phenomena or hoaxes are often forgotten without retraction in later reports because finding out the latest amazing discovery never panned out or turned out to be explainable with a quite ordinary explanation doesn't sell newspapers.

Definitely.
That's the balance we are all aiming for, mate.
Go too far into open-mindedness and you become gullible (something conspiracy extremists overlook)...
However, the flip side, and the angle that many so-called "professional skeptics" overlook, is go too far into skepticism and you're actually no longer a skeptic but rather a cynic...and that unfortunately means you're no longer open minded enough to catch the odd unusual thing that's proven to be true.
I think the goal is to have a decent level of open-mindedness combinded with healthy doses of skepticism.
It's a really tough balancing act.

Personal Notes On The UFO Situation Today —
Val Germann
Columbia, Missouri
Every once in a while I get a phone call from someone, someone I
do not know, who wants to talk about UFOs. Taking my cue from
Dr. Harley Rutledge of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, I always speak
freely and completely, just in case the caller is one of Vallee’s
vacuum cleaners. I don’t want any mistakes.
These calls usually boil down to “I have seen some of your stuff
and I want to know what the hell you think is REALLY going down.”
I show no hesitation at all — I spill. I want no mistakes.
1) There is an unknown agency or agencies running large-scale
operations here on Earth at this time, and perhaps for a long,
long time into the past.
2) The scale of these operations imply immense expense on the
part of this other agency, whether from another star system,
inside the Earth or from another dimension, whatever. Lots and
lots of whatever it is “they” call money is being expended.
3) On all investments there must, MUST be a payoff.
4) Since it is obvious to all who take the time to look that we,
the human race, are making huge mistakes that are going to cause
us horrific problems within a few generations, I currently accept
that these “others” are here, in part, because of this fact.
5) For the moment I am accepting that planets like the Earth are
not really rare in the galaxy but not that damned plentiful,
either. Therefore, the Earth, its biosphere, and its life forms,
could well be a resource for other life in the galaxy. Just
think of it, an interstellar Cecil Rhodes could be sizing us up
for a new, whatever, who knows? Or maybe they’re already up and running here, extracting who knows what from our abductees?
6) Life forms on the Earth are being exterminated by human beings on a vast scale and this extermination started with a vengeance
just as the last ice age ended, about 10,000 years ago. Within a
couple of generations NO large-bodied land animals will be left
on Earth except in enclaves maintained with wire fences. Sooner
or later those fences will come down and then human beings will
be the largest-bodied animals left on Earth except for domestic
cattle, zoo animals, and such. Since World War II human beings
have made great strides in turning the oceans into deserts.
Within two generations that project will be complete and
commercial fishing of the great water bodies on Earth will come
to a permanent end. There is even a chance, a fair one, that the
clorine-based materials being spewed onto the ground planet-wide will, at some indefinite time in the future, put an end to human reproduction, or at least lower it to the point where humanity will be reduced to the state it was in say 15,000 years ago. If current trends continue a mass-extinction of Cretaceous
dimensions in now taking place on our planet, engineered by the
human race itself and perhaps eventually including it.
7) In my view these others are here in connection with this mass
extinction. It is entirely possible that what we see going on
around us is in fact THEIR program, the intelstellar equivalent
of having the roaches build their own motel. Or, the program
could be that of a faction of “them,” with other factions running
around picking up what pieces they can for their own purposes.
8) Whatever, we must keep in mind that these “others” are doing
NOTHING to stop this mass extinction and therefore they are
either indifferent to it, are actually behind it or are UNABLE to
stop it, for whatever reasons. If they are indifferent to the
great destruction of billion-year evolutionary developments in a
rare environment then that is, as Pogo used to say, “a mighty
soberin’ thought.” And if “they” are behind the extinctions,
through a sort of cultural “coaching,” well, that is quite a bit
beyond merely “soberin.” And while it is possible that “they”
are unable to slow or stop the extinction I lean against this
interpretation. I would rather suggest that perhaps “they” are
in some way, morally or otherwise (say, through a very highly
developed business sense), PROHIBITED from stopping it, sort of a
Star-Trek “prime directive” kind of a thing, only with bells on.
None of the above 3.5 alternatives is very attractive.
9) My eight-year campaign of research into the “UFO” has run full
circle, from the ground to the sky to outer space and now back to
the Earth again. The real action is down here, the dog and pony
show is up there, attracting our attention, while these “others”
go about whatever in hell their “business” is, down here on the
ground, among us, every day. And our arguments about whether
“they” are extra-terrestrial or extra-dimensional or whatever are
totally irrelevant to the REAL question, which is: What in hell
are “they” actually DOING here? Well, “they” are here for their
benefit, not for ours, that’s for damn sure. Is it “they,” and
not our posterity, who will inherit the Earth? It’s possible.

Excerpts from the Coast to Coast show follow...
In the first half, researcher, author and professor, Mark O'Connell (who also wrote numerous episodes of "Star Trek: The Next Generation" and "Deep Space Nine") joined George Knapp to talk about how astronomer J. Allen Hynek went from being a UFO skeptic to a true believer, in what remains one of the great misunderstood stories of science. Working with files from CUFOS (J. Allen Hynek's Center for UFO Studies), O'Connell pieced together the definitive account of Hynek's career. After the 1947 Kenneth Arnold UFO sightings, the Air Force was perplexed on how to handle the issue, which seemed to indicate they lacked control over their own airspace. So they brought in Hynek, an established astronomer, who debunked various sightings, suggesting they were mostly misidentifications of astronomical or man-made objects.
While investigating a mass UFO sighting in 1966 in Michigan, Hynek proffered his infamous "swamp gas" explanation, saying "although I could not prove it in a court of law, all the evidence suggests that these people may have been looking at swamp gas." Hynek was widely ridiculed for his conclusion, and considered it as a low point in his career. Yet, this proved to be a turning point for him as a UFO researcher, in which he decided he would no longer cover for the Air Force, O'Connell cited. Hynek went on to create a UFO classification system, with the 'Close Encounter' scale, which Steven Spielberg used for his film, "Close Encounters of the Third Kind" (referring to contact with aliens). Dr. Hynek's great accomplishment, O'Connell noted, was that he made the discussion of UFOs socially acceptable, and scientifically acceptable.
-------------------------
Many think the government is about to disclose what it knows about UFOs and others think the government is doing everything in its power to keep the UFO reality a secret. In the latter half, UFO researcher Grant Cameron argued that the "secret keepers" are gradually revealing this information, via an acclimatization process, that is more about "confirmation" than disclosure. He has determined there are some 64 reasons why US presidents have decided to maintain UFO secrecy, and these include panic by segments of the public, as well as the UFO connection to nuclear weapons and bases, and disturbing demonstrations that UFOs can easily seize control of them from the military.
There is a long history of leaks regarding UFOs, and one of them dates back to the 1940s, when then Sec. of State, Cordell Hull, allegedly took a Minister to the sub-basement of the Capitol building, where he showed him three alien creatures in glass jars, and a lightweight spaceship, Cameron recounted. Ron Pandolfi, said by some to be the CIA's real-life Fox Mulder, has briefed six presidents on UFOs since the 1980s, Cameron reported. He also traced the connections and differences of some of the players in the UFO secrecy and disclosure movement including Steven Greer, Tom DeLonge, Dan Smith, Steve Bassett, Bob Lazar, and Robert Bigelow.

They probably exist but are very far away and have never visited earth IMHO.

In UFO conspiracy theories, Majestic 12 (or MJ-12) is the code name of an alleged secret committee of scientists, military leaders, and government officials, formed in 1947 by an executive order by U.S. President Harry S. Truman to facilitate recovery and investigation of alien spacecraft. The concept originated in a series of supposedly leaked secret government documents first circulated by ufologists in 1984. Upon examination, the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) declared the documents to be "completely bogus", and many ufologists consider them to be an elaborate hoax.[1][2] Majestic 12 remains popular among some UFO conspiracy theorists and the concept has appeared in popular culture including television, film and literature.

George Knapp was joined by two renowned physicists who worked on the Pentagon's secret UFO study. First hour guest, Dr. Eric Davis described his role in the Pentagon program which has been front-and-center in the news since a New York Times article broke the story in mid-December of last year. He described his role in the Department of Defense program as a consultant who deduced by process of "scientific elimination" that some reported UFOs are not explainable as natural phenomena, advanced foreign technology, or misidentifications, and concluded that "all arrows pointed toward non-human origin." Davis worked for many years at Robert Bigelow’s "Skinwalker Ranch," examining data and witnessing paranormal events and UFOs. He concluded that the things he has observed are "not a natural phenomenon, so you’re pretty hard pressed to put science to it," at least in the classical sense of the term.
Second hour guest, Dr. Hal Puthoff, revealed what prompted the Department of Defense to initiate a seven-year UFO study. Puthoff described his background beginning as Naval Intelligence officer working for the NSA, to his studies in laser technology, and eventually as a pioneer in the study of remote viewing at the behest of the CIA in the mid-1970s. He defended the recent revelations of apparent government UFO disclosure and his role in Tom DeLonge’s UFO research organization as an effort to "put some sunshine on this area and get it out, so that it’s no longer a subject of ridicule." Puthoff discussed the recently released videos of apparent anomalous objects, and supporting evidence surrounding them, such as radar records and pilot descriptions. He said he had examined one of the pieces of metal that was announced in the Times article and described it as "layers of various kinds of materials that you wouldn't expect to be put together" as well as the unusual properties that are gained from this unknown method of materials engineering.

There's very little evidence that the group that's called the Collins Elite actually exists or that their interpretation is the correct one. It's still a pretty fun ride and I read the book twice and plan to revisit it again at some point.
While I don't share the evangelical viewpoint, I'm not sure the alleged Collins Elite are as wrong as it might seem. In Kabalistic terms, aliens may be inhabitants of Yesod, what might be commonly called the astral plane. Superstitious types would naturally assume they are demons.

From a quantum physics perspective, how might scientists in that domain assess tales of aliens travelling to Earth from other galaxies? For example, what about things like worm holes and faster-than-light (superluminal) physics? And bending space and time? Do such quantum possibilities shed any light on the ET reports?

It's not really Redfern's theory, he's just relating an interesting story. It's the alleged Collins Elite who think aliens are demons.
If the story is true, it lends more support to John Keel's idea that the phenomenon manifests itself differently depending on the expectations of the observer.

Keel seems like one of the few researchers who is deep enough of a thinker, or open minded enough, to consider all possibilities...including far out ones.
A number of people have reported seeing ETs when taking DMT and Ayahuasca as well, I heard.

Aliens May Well Exist in a Parallel Universe, New Studies Find https://www.livescience.com/62558-par...
Excerpt:
"According to a new pair of studies in the journal Monthly Notices of the Royal Astronomical Society, there’s a decent chance that life-fostering planets could exist in a parallel universe — even if that universe were being torn apart by dark energy. The idea that our universe is just one of many, perhaps infinite, other universes is known as the multiverse theory. Scientists have previously thought that such parallel universes, if they exist, would have to meet an extremely strict set of criteria to allow for the formation of stars, galaxies and life-fostering planets like those seen in our own universe."
"In the new study, researchers ran a massive computer simulation to build new universes under various starting conditions. They found that the conditions for life might be a little broader than previously thought — especially when it comes to the mysterious pull of dark energy."

Nick Redfern is known for digging into secret, classified government and military files. He will discuss the latest information on the sinister Men in Black, the chilling Women in Black, the creepy Black-Eyed Children and the ability of these multi-dimensional entities to invade our space in a hostile fashion.

1) Aliens are real. because there are unimaginable number of stars in the universe so the possibility that there is no other life form other than that of earth is zero (at least for me).
2)No aliens did not visit us. Sorry, because if they had done that then there would have been solid scientific proof. Not some conspiracy theories like those shown in Ancient Aliens show.
3)If we assume point 1 and point 2 are correct, then the question is whether Extraterrestrial life form which exists in the cosmos, intelligent enough to communicate with us?
4)If we assume point 3 is 'yes', then the final question will be 'Will the first contact by receiving a message happen in our lifetime? Can we witness this event?'
Though the possibility seems low to me (since the universe is so f**king big and SETI has only scanned a tiny part of it), I am still hopeful.

We are just one of almost countless planets in the Universe, and it's likely that many of those planets hosted technologically advanced alien civilizations which may have faced the same challenges we're facing today. In the second half, astrophysicist and NPR commentator Adam Frank shared his latest research on the existence and trajectories of alien civilizations and what they may teach us about our own. He described science as "constrained imagination," and discussed the famous Drake equation, which was formulated to give us an idea of the possibility of the number of extraterrestrial civilizations that may have reached an age of technological sophistication. Frank also speculated on the possibility of an earlier Earth civilization, which may have existed 10 to 100 million years ago, and would leave very little trace of itself after that amount of time.
Frank also discussed the record of Earth’s climate and the scientific consensus that temperatures on the planet have remained fairly constant for at least 10,000 years, and added that "we would have to be unbelievably wrong" about the effects of the sun on climate change for it to be a factor in any warming or cooling trends. The climate patterns on other planets (and even some moons) in the solar system can be used as a sort of universal guide to climates. Frank also used the example of Easter Island, and the depletion of natural resources over a few hundred years and how this can be scaled up to a planetary level. He concluded that "climate change shows how powerful how we’ve become" as a technological species.
