Jasmine | 11 comments Unfortunately this one was a huge dud for me and I left a small rant review on my own profile. I couldn't believe in this high school relationship enough to care about the "mystery" of this whole story; the pacing was slow, which normally isn't bad if the ending is a good payoff, but this one ended with a huge info dump because the author realized the story was over but we still had questions, so she had to wrap everything up neatly; the plot twist wasn't necessarily shocking to me and left me wanting way more after sitting through 300+ pages of nothing. I could be tempted to give Miranda's adult novels a try, but I personally think she missed the mark on YA mystery completely. This was romance-heavy, overly dramatic, and too slow. 2 stars on my end!

Rylee (singlerose) | 6 comments I enjoyed it but I expected more action to take place throughout the book instead of just her thought process

Eh, this was ok. 2.5⭐, I guess. Maybe my standards are too high for YA, but I'm disappointed - the clues were so obviously pointing to Caleb being alive I thought they must have been misleading us.

I enjoyed the climax, but otherwise, I'm not convinced I would've made it through this without being able to listen to it at 2x speed. Too much slow burn without enough pay off.

Kimberly | 3 comments I really enjoyed this book! I wasn't going to read it because her books are normally 3 stars and under for me. Not something I really enjoyed.... but this one I enjoyed!
