The next book we will be reading throughout May and June is ‘Towards a New Architecture’ by Le Corbusier. Le Corbusier was a pioneer in modern architecture, a movement which took architecture away from the highly stylised Art Deco period and into one of simplicity and function. This book is a collection of Le Corbusier’s essays, most of which were originally published in his magazine L’Esprit Nouveau in 1921. Le Corbusier tends to be quite divisive among architectural opinions so feel free to post your opinions in this discussion page as you read along.
Thank you, I hope you all enjoy reading!
