I'm not sure, gals! Hopefully someone else has some suggestions.

Parker Hudson (parkerhudson) | 3 comments I would like to broaden my reading in the genre in which I also write--Spiritual Warfare. Besides Frank Peretti's great classics and the more recent works of Eric M. Hill, does anyone have any suggestions for good reads which address the realities of our war with Evil?

Liza Woods | 1 comments I read a book in the ninth grade almost twenty years ago that for some reason greatly impacted me. I want this book to read.

It's a Christian young adult fantasy book. I believe there are talking animals in it. A kingdom that is ruled by an evil ruler. It starts off with a young girl falls and hits her head on a table. She slips into a sleep state and enters an alternate reality world. A man gets into a horrific car accident but escapes without a scratch but slept through them cutting him out of the car like a baby. Neither of them will wake up. I remember the man meets a beautiful woman in this alternate reality and falls in love. She has a rare dwarf bunny. I don't really remember what happens. I know the girl and man meet at some point in this alternate reality. In the real world the doctor in charge of them starts going a little crazy on how to wake them up. At the end he is attempting to use electric therapy of some kind to force them to wake up. That's about all I remember. I know it had strong Christian themes.

Sandy Duke | 105 comments I wasn't sure where to put this (Mods, please feel free to move to the correct forum.) I just wanted to share a helpful tool that I recently discovered in my library's digital resources. It's called NoveList Plus. I've found it SO helpful to find books for challenges.

Not only can you filter to only include Christian fiction, but you can also filter by setting, time period and much, much more. THEN you can also find links to your local library catalog AND some titles even have Goodreads links! Be warned though: You can easily lose precious hours of reading time just playing with this resource! ;-)

As far as I can tell, this is a fine place to put this info, Sandy. And thank you for it! I'd never heard of it before now, but my library also uses it and I'm about to go exploring! 😉

Is there a link? When I did a quick search I saw sites that mentioned it.

I can't remember everything in all of these books, but you and I have a 77 percent rating when I checked our books in common, so who knows?

Even though my reading friends were sure I wouldn't like it, I liked Big Little Lies because the humour worked for me; not sure if it's up your alley or not. I don't like all of her books; it's a mixed bag for me so I don't read her anymore.

It's possible Ann Liang has something set in Australia--she grew up in both China and Australia and lives in Australia now. Clean y/a romance, but I can't speak for all of her novels as far as how good they are, nor can I remember if either of the two I read by her are set there.

Ngaio Marsh is a famous mystery writer from New Zealand, but not all of her stories are set in that country. I have no idea if you'll like her books or not; I've read two and managed to give them three stars, but have no plans to read more by her.

Avoid Kerry Greenwood's mystery series as her protagonist has terrible morals. She's an Aussie writer who sets her Kerry Greenwood books there.
