AHHHHHH!
I've never been more uncomfortable in my entire life! Even if I didn't have an inkling of what was coming from the film, there would be no denying it now. BIG YIKES. It almost feels extra cruel that the Grandmother has locked the kids up in that room and is constantly implying to Cathy and Chris that they are participating in "sinful behavior" and yet.....they're locked away from the world and hitting puberty. WTF does she think is going to happen? It seems like a set-up to me.
Speaking of set-up, I'm fully convinced that the kids' father and Corrine's brothers were murdered. They all died so young and in vehicle-related accidents in such a way that they're bodies couldn't be properly autopsied....something is seriously wrong with that.
So far, I'm fully hooked at yet at the same time I don't want to keep reading because I know it's about to get very uncomfortable.

I can't imagine how psychologically damaging it would actually be for teenage kids to be locked up like that. The grandma seems to be purposely turning them into what she's accused them of being from the start.
I hadn't thought about the idea of murder you brought up. Very interesting to think of it in that way!

Yeah, even Cathy is obsessed with her father, as well. She keeps mentioning how any an she marries would have to measure up to her father and her brother. It's all very strange.....
