I read this book about 20014-16, the book changes between past and present. It's about 2 neighbors who are best friends growing up. one girl's (girl a) mom finds the dad of the other girl (girl b) dad attractive. One night the girls witness the mom trying to kiss girl b's dad. Girl a says oh yay now we can be sisters if my mom and your dad get together. The girls lose touch. Flash to present and girl b's, her mom just passed away. She's having an affair with an Indian man from her YMCA where she swims trying to lose weight. One night girl a shows up on her porch and eventually, a police officer comes to interview the girls because a bully from when they were growing up is found to be kidnapped. I am sorry that I do not remember any names.
