Mhm these characters are hard to care about. Jace is so lame especially in the start of this book. He’s all ‘shadowhunter supremacy all you downworlders bow down to me!’ And I hate him for that. Also clary just isn’t doing it for me. She’s so up herself. There’s nothing going on except Jaces little melt down and like I said before, hate him.
Why’d you start reading this series though ? I only wanted to read the first 3 books so I can start TID.
Because I'd always seen it with PJO on the shelves of every single bookshop, and so I thought I's lik eitTurns out I was wrong
I also noticed that there were parts that made me read slow, I didn't know if it was writing style or plot itself but after you also noticed something not-so-brilliant in this book I think it might be that it was the plot that made it a bit struggle for me as well. And characters were also partly lacking something. Clare's chatacter was annoying and there wasn't development happening. And for me that Jace/Clare "relationship" was disturbing. But the world is so interesting and I really love Magnus :D So this wasn't brilliant read, but partly okay. Some of dialogies were fun :)

i don't count dnfs in my reading challenge, but that's a good idea XD
same, i just don't care. it's as simple as that, and i'm kinda embarrassed it took me so long to admit it to myself.
