These are the first books I have read by this author. How do her other books compare to this?

(view spoiler)[ I liked the ending but I feel like a main character should’ve died at some point. It’s sort of annoying that they can never seem to die apart from the inquisitor. Surely they could’ve saved her some way. I don’t want the characters to die it was just a bit annoying. (hide spoiler)]

Her other books are much better! There is a noticeable improvement in her writing and story-line.

Yeah I really liked her books the first time around too but after reading some of her newer work some of her older stuff doesn't seem as great even through it is still good.

I think that’s why Clary is kinda with Simon for a while, she felt like because she couldn’t/shouldn’t have Jace, she would try Simon. Not that she meant it in a horrible way but it was a little selfish of her to dangle everything Simon wanted in front of him without even thinking it through. (hide spoiler)]
