I read it within the past year.
It is part of a series of books, but I only read the first book and now I can't remember its name to finish the series.
Vague description: 2 very poor girls who are best friends celebrate their birthday by shopping. Then they both accept a job offer that is "too good to be true". They are taken to a mansion where they are told they can have whatever they want, but they can't leave the mansion. They are given bracelets as gifts.

It is later found out that the people they are "working" for are actually siphoning their life from them, via the bracelets, and the girls need to escape.
That is literally all I can remember.
