I'm worried about Magnus dying. He is my all time favorite fictional character and I can't picture a world without him. He has a husband and two kids. He CAN'T die. If he dies I'll literally die with him.

ok,so i just read most of the comments here and i saw a lot of talk about tessa and jem dying and also magnus and the tmi gang. so what if we think like this, what if they don't die? i really don't need to stay up at night thinking about who is going to die in this series for the next 3 years lol

i manage to ask her something before she closed it, but i forgot what i asked her. i think it was something related with her spotify playlist for chain of gold which btw if you have not listened to it, i highly recommend you do, since she pucked up some amazings songs, one of them is literally called burn the house down, i laughed so hard when i saw that song lol

Ok so if TWP and TBVOTD take place at the same time then the princes of hell will be super big. Cassie is mentioning them more, they are being featured in more art she’s commissioned, and apparently they all appear in the TBOTW epilogue (can someone confirm or deny this please?)
It said on the wiki for TBVOTD that it'll take place between TDA and TWP. You're right. It's probably most likely that the princes of hell will be a huge part in the series. I'll finish TLBOTW and let you know tho!
Okay! Recently on tumblr Cassie said they take place almost at the same time so I just wonder why? Are there like 2 things going on or something?
i haven't read tlbotw yet, since my copy hasn't arrived, but if tec3 takes placed during twp, i'm thinking that twp mains will have a mission, and tmi gang will have another mission in tec3 and cassie maybe wrote in that way so twp mains can have their book where they make a series of bad decisions without the other interfering. i hope this made sense..
Yeah that makes sense of both things come together at the end of TWP 1. But then I wonder if it’s a mist read to read TEC 3

If they (TEC 3 and TWP 1) take place at the same time, would you need to read them both to understand the plot? Like you said TEC 3 will be very important but do you have to read it?

yeah, i don't know, probably. like cassie did this before. for example you need to read city of heavenly fire before lady midnight and even tales from the shadowhunters academy you should read it before that.

Thinking about these character slaying thing... Fortunately this is not Game of Thrones.If I have to choose between Jem and Tessa. Let Jem die. He's been through too much shit all of his entire life and he was too happy during the last tales of Ghosts of the Shadow Market. Tessa could have Mina with her if she becomes a warlock, which would be nice since she's had three shadowhunter children. It'd be hard for her but she could do it. Plus, she knows that scenario will happen anyways someday. So, let Jem die and spare him more suffering.
Magnus and Alec are similar. Magnus would have Max forever and always and he's Cassie's favorite, so it's not likely. Alec on the other hand... But he is the coolest guy in charge that the shadow world has ever had. His legacy would be legendary still it's too early to kill him off.
Jace and Clary will die together or nothing. It wouldn't make sense to have two Janus.
Maybe Janus dies saving one of them, when accepting at last that his Clary is Thule's one and that she is gone. As Jem said, when you're used to feeling nothing it is complicated to feel everything all over again, so I guess he hasn't had the time for grieving all his family with the being linked to a sociopath like Sebastian thing.
This leaves us with the possible death of Simon or Izzy. Simon has been a too cool and underatied character, so I hope at least he lives and restore the Lovelace clan. (Will we read about a baby or two?) And then Izzy... She's cool but I wouldn't mind. Yet, kill Maryse and spare her another death. Let her die as fierce and dignified as the Thule's one.
Leave the Blackthorns alone. I'll let you touch just Kieran or Aline or maybe Helen. No more. I wouldn't mind an epic sacrifice on Diana's or her man's part. Morales brothers are always there to be developed and killed off.
I'm done with theories. Just one petition: let Irene stay with Ty and Livvy. It'd be so cool. I miss Church.
Maybe but all the ppl u mentioned aren’t really MC’s in TWP. Plus we will see loads of new ones that could be killed off as well

yup, same. i loved the last story, seeing more of kit after tda and seeing him, jem, tessa and mina becoming a family, but i was so pissed off with the janus thing!
also i'm really excited to see their family dynamics in twp
