It is a horror book: A village has been hunted for generations by a monster (Maybe a witch). They are so used to it they don't even care, when she shows up. However they keep her hidden to outsiders. Some kids in the village then reveal her presence, I think by putting a video of her online, and that unleases a curse or something horrible.
