The final showdown was in the mountains where Maggie was holding Quin captive and slowly killing her. Your thoughts about those scenes and the climax that ended with her death?

Anita (anitanodiva) | 2973 comments Maggie was truly deranged by her hatred of Nora. Fantastic plot twists. I was not about to put the book down until it was over.

Robin (robinmy) | 2450 comments The end of the story was exciting. It made sense that Maggie would cut Quin and give her the drug so she wouldn't clot. She left the antidote which turned out to be just as bad.

Anita (anitanodiva) | 2973 comments It was clear that she wanted both Quin and Nora to die.

Maggie was clearly deranged. Her hatred of Nora was nurtured by Lorraine, and to some extent, Quin who allowed her to make Nora be the villain. She was so like her father, having no empathy for anybody.

These scenes were riveting! I was really glad she didn’t survive as she’d just use prison the way Lorraine did.

Melissa (melissasd) | 676 comments Her torture of Quin was horrific, just like the other ones. It just shows you how messed up Maggie was. She seemed to really care about Quin until this point. I was surprised that Nora didn't get to kill Maggie. I loved the twist about the antidote. I'm so glad they didn't give it to her.

Charlene (charlenethestickler) | 1203 comments You all express my thoughts on this. No way I was going to bed until I finished the book. Now I'm doing this to decompress so I can sleep.

Karen ♐ (kmk1214) | 909 comments I stayed up to finish this one too, Charlene! Those scenes were riveting! I couldn't stop reading. I was so glad that Maggie got hers in the end. And that they didn't give "the antedote" to Quin.
