Just finished Age of Swords and I loved it!!!! One of the best books by Sullivan (in my opinion). While the pacing was slowed down a bit I felt that it is going to set up the future books. We were introduced to great characters and got to know the inner workings and problems in the Fhrey and Dwarves. A great cast of characters and I really enjoy the way Sullivan develops and shows his characters. I always find myself eager to get to know more and he doesn't disappoint. Maya, Persephone, Brin, Roan, Suri, and Rathe all have great moments and I am a sucker for a band of misfits up against the odds.
I took my time getting to this series as I didn't want to be disappointed after Hadrian and Royce Revelations was over. I am pissed at myself now as I can't wait to start book 3.
Thanks MJS
One of my favorite moments in the entire series is when Mawyndule physically and mentally blinked in disbelief. I do that all the time! LOL
@Brian - I'm so glad you enjoyed Age of Swords. It is my favorite of the series. What I really liked about it was there were a number of major characters that I couldn't really fully visit in book #1, and we start exploring them in #2. One of my favorite aspects was that Robin really didn't connect with Moya in Book #1 calling her, and she was 100% turned around after Moya's speech to Persephone about wanting to be her shield. I love it when that happens.
I hope you enjoy the rest of the books.
