Meh. Writer's block is kinda just the author thinking they are stuck...kinda...i guess.

I think the "writer's block doesn't exist" theory is almost legitimate, but I like blaming my problems on other things, so... XD

You don't get writer's block?"
I refuse to acknowledge writer's block.

You don't get writer's block?"
It's a theory that Brigid and Niki (and maybe others) have."
Not a theory. A fact.

I apologize. A fact.

haha im curious, how does the no writer's block 'fact' work?

I don't agree. I mean, it's true that "writers block" is just an excuse not to write most of the time. But sometimes, there truly are no ideas for a story because it absolutely has no juice or potential. The idea was not meant for a novel, or is just really stupid, or something. Even if you desperately want to write it so, so badly and you really want more ideas for it and you're trying and you really, really want to write it. I speak from experience, about a specific story I tried writing once.

That's happened with a lot of my stories. In one of them, I was on chapter 13, and I couldn't get past it for the life of me. I figured out that I had just taken the wrong turn in the story, so I restarted the chapter and I was fine. But I ended up discontinuing the story, because it was crapola.

I disagree, because I think EVERY story has potential. You could be writing the dumbest thing in the world, but there is always a way to reshape the plot/characters to make it better. There's always something to edit and/or something to add, so there is no writer's block.

Well, I don't think it means you don't want to write, as I said before, I think it means you are having doubts about the way you write or just the idea in general.

If you're writing a story about Bob defeating the evil doughnuts from mars, *coughcough wink wink coughcough*, there is no way you can continue the story, no matter how much you want to.

I don't agree. I mean, it's true that "writers block"..."
Oh yes you could. Maybe Bob is a really interesting character and you think the story has potential, but you're like, "Hey, maybe evil doughnuts wasn't the best idea. Maybe they should be evil werewolves instead!" … or something like that. You see what I mean?

Well, I know, I know what you meant, I just meant that if you change your story a ton, it isn't the same story. If you change the main characters, the main idea, or anything like that. But yes, I do see your point. I don't even know why I'm dragging this on...

I'm sorry! I didn't mean to offend you! (snickers)

But some stories are so bad that even if you want to keep writing them, you can't because they have no potential. *coughcoughTulip'sCozyTeacoughcough*

I love that story! I haven't read all the chapters yet but I'm so excited too! It has potential!
