We all seem to become overwhelmed by those TBR lists. I hope to read more methodically next year...too many books I didn't intend to read get in the way of the ones I meant to read.

I have given serious thought to having a category for exactly that...TBRs that I seriously want to read NOW.

Old School
Anna Karenina
Les Miserables
Sentimental Education
New School
The Wings of the Dove
This Side of Paradise
Light in August
Six Pack
Moll Flanders
Out of Africa
The Once & Future King
Kristin Lavransdatter
The Naked and the Dead
Maurice
Alternates
Sacajawea
Mason & Dixon
I also have Salammbo and Cider House Rules that I could put in there. I'm not entirely satisfied yet. Too many of these are buddy reads, too, but I'm closed through August if you can believe it.

Funny how that happens. lol. I suppose we have less time left and wallowing is so unconstructive.

Some of us participated in the group read here of "Notes" early this year.
I had a hard time at the beginning, but I got through it. I can't recall the rating I gave it though. I think I liked it in the end.
What really called a difficulty though was that I tried to read Virginia Woolf's "Mrs Dalloway" right after "Notes." That was rough, so I had to CNF "Dalloway." I'm still shuddering.

It would be interesting to see what Freud himself had to say. Everything I know about him really comes second hand.

congrats. I pushed Daniel over to next year. Nice to see that you gave it such a high rating. LOVED Tenant and yes, I can imagine the reaction at the time.

Well done. She's a favourite narrator of mine too, I've been listening to all of Austen's books read by her and I can't imagine reading them without her now!
