I took Mia by the shoulders and gently turned her body so that she was facing the window. Standing behind her, I leaned in close. My lips were lightly grazing the top of Mia’s ear. My hands slipped around her waist possessively, a subtle reminder of who was in charge.
“If we play,” I whispered, “I expect us to play by my rules.”
“What are your rules?” Mia asked breathlessly. She sounded nervous - and eager. Perfect.
“You follow my orders,” I said simply, my heart pounding. “When I tell you to do something, you do it. I expect obedience. I also expect communication. If you’re uncomfortable with something, you tell me. If you want me to stop, you use your safeword.”
“My safeword?”
“Your safeword,” I nodded. I rested my chin on top of Mia’s head and stared out at the city. “I like to be in control. I take what I want. I do what I want. Does that scare you?”
She hesitated. “I - I don’t know.”
I smiled. “That’s a perfectly acceptable answer. How about this: does it intrigue you?”
She nodded.
“Turn around,” I ordered.
